Horrible customer service & do not trust for a formal event (wedding)!

We had a wedding November 9, 2024. We paid for 100 guests to have The Flame Package which on the catering menu states that your guests get 4 slices of a 10” pizza (essentially a personal pan) and either a salad or pasta (we chose salad) for $17.99 a plate.

Our guests went up to the truck and received 2 pieces of pizza and a salad that had no garnishing on it. We did not find out until talking to guests after the wedding that they only gave 2 pieces of small personal pan pizza to everyone.

We reached out to Nelly Belly after the event, and the customer service was absolutely horrible. Melissa (the owner) claimed they asked people how many slices they wanted - they didn’t. She said that they had a sign that says “choose up to 4 assorted slices,” and no one was ever asked how many they wanted. Then she acted like it was all okay because people went up for seconds or thirds. They had 2 personal pan slices of pizza! Of course they were still hungry! Good for the guests who went up for more, but we feel horrible for the guests that didn’t and thought this was all the food they were getting for dinner. Our wedding was perfect. Thank you Nelly belly staff! We had not tried the pizza before the wedding but they had come highly recommended. The guests are still telling us it was the best pizza they have ever had. Our other food truck backed out last minute and they helped calm our nerves and assured us they could pick up the slack and would be able to easily handle 150 people during the dinner hour. Everyone was fed so fast and there was even 25 minutes left and pizza left for the guys to come up for more. We announced last call before they were done serving and there was even 5 extra pizzas left that the bridal party polished off late night at the hotel. Everyone said it was nice to be able to try all the variety of different pizza slices they offered and were impressed how hot it was served. It was really fun for the guests to see everything made right there. My only compliant would be I wish we had saved one pizza for us to enjoy for breakfast. On the day of the wedding, they arrived on time, set up seamlessly, and served the most delicious wood-fired pizza that had our guests raving. The quality of the food was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection.
