Well, I went there today and while they were busy it wasn't any busier than any other restaurant in towm. I didn't even have to wait for a table. I sat there for a good 10 minutes before anybody even asked if I wanted something to drink. I was watching the young girl who ended up being my waitress, which she was very sweet. But they had set her 4 tables at 1 time that I noticed. I asked for a Diet Coke. She came back a while later and said that they were out of Diet Coke, so I had to get something different. I ordered my food and I sat there watching as People left and more people came in. I had to ask twice if someone could clean my table because it was disgusting like nobody had ever wiped. New customers were set next to me. That had a different waitress and within 20 minutes they had their food. I am now there for over an hour and still have not received my food so I asked my. Waitress why do they have their food And I've been here over an hour and I still don't have mine. She explained. Well maybe it came from a different part of the kitchen. So she went back a few minutes go by she comes back out and says yeah, it came from a different part of the kitchen. I said that's fine. Just give me my check and I'll pay for my drink. She left and came back probably 5 minutes later with food and I looked at her and said I hope that that is not my food, her reply was. Yes, it is. Would you like it? I said no I already told you I want my check. I'm leaving. You may want to 1) train your kitchen to work tickets in the order in which the come in. 2) train whomever does your ordering ( no reason to be out of Diet Coke) how to make sure your supplies are up to par. 3) teach whomever cleans the tables how to...
Read moreI called in a order; I wanted the big country breakfast. I said the one with tater tots, eggs, cheese, ect.. the lady on the phone said okay so no tator tots? I said no, everything is fine. I get there pay and went to my car realized there wasn't tator tots. So I brought the order back in, I was as nice as could be. The lady takes it to the back and then the manager comes out and says so what's the problem? Very defensive and passive aggressive. I simply said I thought this came with tator tots.. she said on the phone you said no tator tots. I said no I was trying to explain what I wanted because I wasn't sure if I had the right name of the menu item that I wanted. She then proceeded to tell me well we removed the tator tots because you said you did want them so we have to charge you for a side of tator tots. Which is fine and all but why the attitude ? I can see if I came in aggressive, mean, & nasty but I didn't! I'm a assistant manager at a restaurant, I wouldn't let my employees behave that way. I was getting the order for someone who's never tried it and was excited because I talked to highly about it. Thanks for the unnecessary rude...
Read moreI worked at Perkins in the 60s and 70s. My goodness has it ever changed. We ordered our food and a appertiser. All the food came out at once, the waitress said she was sorry that the cooks were behind. I looked around the restaurant and everyone was eating except for 2 tables. I thought how could they be behind. My wife and I ordered the same thing. 2 turkey dinners mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans. And chicken tenders for appetizers. We both tasted the food and it was cold. We ask the waitress if she would take the food back and re do it. She did. So we ate the appertiser and it was good and very hot. Now this tells me they mad our food put it under the heat lamps and waited until or appertiser was ready and severed everything at the same time. Or all the food was prepared ahead of time and sitting in a steam table. That is why the food was cold. They took the frozen chicken strips and fried them while our food sat there under the heat lamps. Very bad because it makes it look like the waitress fault. When I worked at Perkins we prepared all our meals to order. Shame on Perkins. All they are is a fast...
