We were told it was a 20 minute wait for a table but 40 minutes later no one had left. Now some of that was that even tho people were done & had their food in "to go" boxes, they wouldn't leave but that is when a good restaurant steps in & says "you are welcome to stay but you need to move to the bar area because we need the table" I've worked for restaurants on & off for years & it is a common occurrence. We finally started to leave & they stopped us saying they had a table in the garage area.....big mistake. It was extremely cold & trust me, they do not put their A team in the garage area. We just sat down & the waitress wanted to know if we were ready to order??? I asked for a minute to look at the menu & she disappeared for 10 minutes. We finally got to order (she wasn't able to answer questions about menu items) we ordered drinks, I ordered from the bar & my husband ordered a soda which he got right away but mine took another 10 minutes. It was wing night but they didn't have wings so we ordered "skinny wings" which weren't wings at all, they were just pieces of dry chicken with a dip. NOT chicken tenders or nuggets, just dried out chicken pieces. The artichoke/spinach dip was the opposite, I tilted the bowl & literally drained out 1/2 cup of grease. I order (and make at home) artichoke dip and I know it's not healthy but this was extremely bad. My husband's burger was good (done well done, the way he asked) but she did forget the side of mayo so he had to wait to get ahold of her to ask again for it. Now mind you this was a Monday evening at 7:30 when we arrived. It was about 8:30 before we got to order & about 9 before we got our food....I can't imagine what a Friday or Saturday would be like? A hard pass on this place, we will...

Stopped in last night for food and some drinks. First time returning to this restaurant in over a year, and man, it was disappointing.

I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich and the bf ordered a Hanson burger. I would feel a lot better if the sandwich was at least somewhat worth the money. It was a small, dry piece of unseasoned chicken that did not fill out the bun, lightly coated in buffalo sauce, and attempted to be hidden by a single piece of lettuce and tomato . Says it comes with a side of blue cheese dressing, and it’s Ken’s brand in a sealed cup, not even a house dressing. Definitely the worst sandwich I have had in quite some time and 100% a rip-off price wise.

The burger was ordered Medium Rare, but there was no flavor to it. Absolutely bland, even with onions and mushrooms on it.

Saving grace: the fries were good, but those are really hard to mess up.

Overall, not pleased with the transaction. The out the door price did not justify what we received for our dinner. Only reason to come back here is Monday and Tuesday wing nights, and they aren’t even doing those at the moment. Save a trip, and save a few bucks.

Atmosphere:. 5/5 This restaurant and bar provides a cozy atmosphere for dining and watching a variety of sporting events. The tables, bar and walls are made of dark wood with a giant Lizard as the center attraction of the restaurant. At least a dozen televisions are on near the bar dining area. You have options of high or low tables.

Service:. 5/5 The waitress was very attentive to our order and checked on our drinks often. She brought my sandwich out with fries but said that was the end of the bag and she made sure she brought a second plate out with new, fresh and long fries.

Food:. 5/5 The food included a variety of sandwiches including burgers, pork, chicken, seafood and salads. The food was tasty, served hot and fresh. Their brand of barbeque sauce is excellent.

Beverages:. 5/5 The Winking Lizard offers a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. They have one of the modern Coca Cola machines that you can add any flavors to a soda and invent your own flavor.

Cleanliness:. 5/5 The Winking Lizard was clean and inviting.
