Five Guys — Restaurant in Avon

Five guys is pretty consistent in quality, but I did not have the experience I have come to expect. Let's talk about the good. The burger was as expected. A nice griddled char on the outside but still juicy in the middle. The mushrooms and onions were griddled nicely as well. The rest of the toppings were fresh. The disappoinment came with speed. I ordered in advance online at roughly 7pm on a Saturday. The confirmation email said my food would be ready by 7:11. I walked in around 5 after and let the cashier know I was there. They started making my two shakes (I was buying dinner for two that night). Then I proceeded to wait. I finally got my food at 7:21. My milkshakes were more milk than shake at that point and the fries were warm and gooey. The reason the fries were gooey was because the staff had pre-cupped what was already made. It was a pretty big disappointment as Five Guys fried are always hot fresh with a potatoey inside. But these were slimy. Had this been my first visit to Five Guys, I would not be returning. This review is for the owners of this Five Guys restaurant. I went with my boyfriend who had an interview for the General Manager position at this location, which is over a 40 minute drive from our house. For the past week, he received multiple email confirmations saying he was interviewing for the GM position. We arrive about 15 minutes prior to the interview time. He goes inside the restaurant only to be told that they aren’t even hiring for a GM and one guy told my boyfriend that he has no idea why that job was posted because they weren’t even looking for a GM. So after receiving all those emails, making a long drive, spending lots of time and gas, just to be told the position doesn’t even exist. That’s incredibly frustrating and absolutely unacceptable for the owners to not take this job post down and toy with people when there are people in this world who are really wanting to change careers and truly lead a team to success. Me and my friend attended this fine establishment on the 31st of March. Upon entrance, we were greeted with warm gaze of the team.The service was exquisite, especially from a strapping young lad with the lovely name of Kevin. A noble gentleman, he listened attentively at our orders and then crafted our delicious meals with ease. Upon touching the delicious, juicy hamburger to our lips, we were greeted with the succulent zest of the heavenly bos taurus. In the aftermath of such noteworthy service, we decided to pen this review and preserve our experience forever for all to enjoy in the eternal cyberspace known as Google Reviews, rather than allow such an endeavor perish with ourselves.
