First time at Barry Bagels in Avon and I’m officially hooked. As a proud foodie, I’m not sure how I’ve missed this place—especially since it’s been in Avon for 9 years! I had no idea what to expect walking in, but Hanna V made the experience top-notch. She walked me through all the ways I could customize my first-ever Barry's Bagel and it was chef's kiss perfection.

The shop was clean, calming, and welcoming. The variety of options is incredible—and everything is customizable to your taste. Whether you're a classic bagel lover or want to experiment with flavors and toppings, they've got you covered.

I learned they also have locations in Westlake and Lakewood, and you can bet I’ll be visiting them all. A hidden gem that’s apparently not so hidden—I’ve been under a rock!

I would love to give this establishment 5 stars because their bagels truly are amazing! They only get 2 stars from me because of the atrocious way my daughter and I were treated when we visited Sat morning. We were in-line, waiting patiently to place our order (for well over 5 mins) when a gentleman walked in behind us and immediately, whom I presume to be either the owner or the manager, walked right passed us, greeted him by his name, and proceeded to take his order!! I then looked in disbelief at the two younger workers behind the counter and stated "we have not been helped yet“ the manager continued to ignore me and proceeded to help the gentleman behind us! I have been coming to Barrys Bagels for a few weeks now to study for an upcoming exam, and the staff is completely accommodating, friendly, and professional. With the added COVID restrictions, they are extremely diligent about cleaning and sanitizing the dining room as soon as they notice customers are finished all while staying efficient and welcoming to the incoming customers. The owner, Vance, has made an effort to get to know me and is always friendly, just like the entire staff. Besides the productive and comfortable environment, the food is delicious! I have tried different sandwiches, soups, and sides but I cannot pick a favorite. They also have a dairy free soft serve that I have yet to try (my husband tells me it's delicious) and they even have bagels for your fur friends!
