Avondale Civic Center Library — Attraction in Avondale

This public library is very beautiful and clean! I went just a few weeks ago for the first time and had a great experience there! There's a ton of computers available for you to use. The staff was courteous, nice and friendly! I brought a few flash drives with me so that I could print some important documents off of them. The only problem was that it would not allow me to print them for some reason. The librarian was extremely helpful and managed her time wisely as I had told her that I was in a rush now that I had been continuously trying and essentially wasted the time I had given myself to take care of this. She told me it was not a problem and she understood my position at that moment in time. She offered that I bring my flash drives to her and she'd print my documents from her computer for me. She did just that and I was in and out after receiving her help within a matter of seconds!!!! All together I was there a total of one hour maximum, which was perfect!! Especially being that it was a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty packed at the time I had arrived! I honestly have never been so impressed with a library in my life! I love it here and have now made this my new "go-to library"!!!! I hope everyone enjoys themselves here just as much...

This is truly a kid/ family-friendly library! I love that they have so many activities for all ages, birth through adulthood! The kids' area is great for them to play or do homework. They have holiday themed events and other special occasion activities for families. The staff is amazing and always helpful. They have created an environment of exploration, curiosity, and innovation. I love that my kid is always excited to come. It's been a great place for me to study also. They have study rooms that can be reserved, wifi, and computers. I love the free resources like Libby, Cloud Library, and Hoopla. I'm not sure if this still exists, but a few years ago, I was able to log into genealogy sites when I signed into the library's wifi network. The reading programs/challenges are fun too. The staff members, computer equipment and the selection of reading material are great. The whole facility is outstanding. BUT, some of the people who come here are some of the most disrespectful and misbehaving individuals I have been with. The loud phone call conversation, the eating and drinking while using a computer, kids yelling while throwing books at each other and the abusive behavior towards the computer equipment is just some of the reasons I don't come that often.
