This was my first time going to this new location. I normally go to Lams Market in Tempe which is a larger market than the one in Avondale. I did still appreciate the variety of foods, fruits, vegetables and seafood. They also have plenty of flavors of Moshi and Boba. They not only have a assortment of Asian foods, they also have Latin and Jamaican foods along with many different brands that are no longer carried in regular grocery stores. The only thing I didn't like was they plastic wrap their bananas individually as well as some other fruits and vegetables that don't need to be wrapped in plastic and on a foam tray. With how bad our environment is, I see no need for the extra waste. 🚨 🚨 Update from my first visit to Lams Market place compared to my recent visit last week. When I recently went last week alot has changed not for the better! The first thing that was very noticeable was the strong fish smell that you could smell all the way from parking your vehicle. Then right when you enter the front doors it's like you been hit in the face with rotten fish/seafood order. I had a mask on and still the smell was so strong! There were flies everywhere, as well as their produce didn't look fresh like the first time I visited on their grand opening week. Also their meat was already turning a brown/grayish color, which indicates the meat is no longer any good for consumption. Their staff was no longer friendly, for example I was going down an aisle and while the staff were stocking they had boxed all in the way and even after saying excuse me, they did nothing. I had to move the noxes in order to get through the aisle and the employee didn't even acknowledge me or apologize that I had to move the mess of boxes he had in the way. I WILL DEFINITELY NOT BE RETURNING TO LAMS IN AVONDALE AND I WOULDN'T RECOMEND TO FRIEND'S AND FAMILY OR THE GENERAL PUBLIC FOR SAFTEY OF GETTING FOOD POISONING FROM OLD/EXPIRED...
Read moreI am a 30 years military Veteran who frequents the Avondale Lam Market #3. On the afternoon of November 6, 2024 around 2:58 pm I asked to speak with a manager concerning the misplacement of their coconuts. For whatever reason this specific Lams, unlike the others in the valley, leaves the whole coconuts unrefrigerated on the floor in boxes. I informed the workers and the cashier that coconuts are getting ruined because they are not refrigerated AS THE BOX INDICATED IT SHOULD BE REFRIGERATED. A "cashier manager" who refused to give me her name came over and said "what do you want?" I told her the coconuts should be refrigerated as the box indicated, and she said there's nothing she can do. I told her that's a very pessimistic point of view and I just wanted to inform the store and save the coconuts from getting ruined. She said even if she told the store manager, he probably would not do anything and the store owner doesn't care. I asked for her name and she refused to give it to me. I took a photo of her and called the store the next day to speak with the owner. They said his name is Michael Lam. Two weeks have passed and I have not spoken to him yet. After receiving the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received, I have decided to take my business to Lee Lee's for my Asian Market needs. This treatment of customers and behavior is...
Read moreI'm really happy Lam's opened on the west side. Lam's supermarket is well worth a visit. I would like to see the isles not so over stuffed where it's hard to control expiration dates. They have a lot of produce which I like it looks fresh. Last time I went it did not smell like a lot of Asian markets where it's very seafoody so I think they keep it clean. If it was more organized and the aisles weren't so stuffed with products as well as the freezers ,It would get a better score but for now that's all we have on the west side unless you want to drive all the way to Tempe or Chandler. I would like to see lambs carry a little bit more healthier products. And I like that they carry a lot of the mushroom broth mixes to cook with. If you're looking for a specialty item to cook with or a spice try lambs they just might have it. I went to look for natto without high fructose corn syrup and unfortunately they did not have it so I had to go all the way to Tempe. But I did get some...
