Such a clean beautiful facility and it creates so much fun for your family. We do have a pool at home, but of course who doesnât want to take their kids to a giant slide and to play with other children for the afternoon. The issue is with how the facility has run and this being the second summer I would think they couldâve gotten it together by now. We went for the weekend and it was just so stressful. There are no misters outside and the lines to get in are so long and it is so hot. You have people waiting when the facility opens at 1 PM, so we line up at 12 PM, but they donât open the doors until close to 1:30. Unacceptable and poor customer service because 4:30 theyâre going to start asking you to gather your belongings and prepare to leave because they want you to leave on time, even though they didnât open the doors on time. They also need more associates working the line so that you can move faster. They have one person with one laptop, checking in with people waiting, but if they had two people on each side, the line would move smoother and faster. My biggest issue was them allowing people that did not pre-register to enter first, which is not fair. Families that did not pre-register will get in the pre-registration line and claim they couldnât figure out how to pre-register so the staff will just register them right there instead of sending them to the line for people who did not pre-register. Basically the pre-registration line is shorter so theyâll stand in that line and when they figure out that they had to get tickets, theyâll try to do it on their phone and it doesnât work because the website has paused the purchases or thereâs a glitch, they just complain to staff and staff will just help them. Whereas I purchased my tickets Monday morning for the following weekend. What is the point of pre-registration? Another thing is staff allowing other families to cut in front of the line stating they just have a question and then their associate begins to check them in and give them their wristbands. My family was prepared and there early, we had to continue to wait. It was really hard to explain to my small children why when we were prepared, we had to wait. There is such room for improvement here. I guess the trick is just a cut corners. All you have to do is say âexcuse meâ and sneak up to the window and say âI wanna confirm if my booking is in your systemâ and then you can cut the line or you could send one of your cute kids up there to check or you could just get in the pre-registration line and play dumb. Youâll always get help. At least I know what to do if...
Read moreI tried to give this place a chance, and letâs say it didnât go well. Very disappointed. We live about 20mins away in Laveen. I called Wednesday and double checked about the night swim. The gentleman told me it was from 730-9pm and it wouldnât be busy. We get there at 8pm and the line has probably about 100 people and there was ONE person at the check in. We stood in line just to be told we wouldnât have time before it was over. Okay, letâs give them a shot tomorrow then. I called Thursday morning (4th of July) and again the guy on the phone told me they would be open from 12-5pm and we shouldnât have an issue getting in. So again, I make the drive and go to the window. The lady at the window asks if I was a resident of Avondale. I tell her no, she then tells me âoh, sorry today we are only allowing Avondale residents I cannot let you guys inâ! Are you serious? Why is this information not being given out? We will not be back. Very disappointing. I called the âmanagerâ and she didnât have much to say except âoh, youâre right, we should be giving that information outââŚ. My kiddos were bummed out 2 days in a row because I was not given correct information that would have...
Read more"Avondale residents only" is clearly stated on the website, so thank you for that.
Our first trip there and I must say it was well run and clean. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves as well, but it definitely looks like it was well packed with Avondale residents, so any ideas of allowing citizens from other cities should be put aside. With a 5 star review comes a few things that should be taken into consideration. More shade structures over the chaise chairs and normal chair that did not have any cover, as those went completely unused do to the blistering sun. The cracks in the slides where sections connect definitely sting a little against your back and this definitely kept me from using them more. Maybe they can be filled some some kind of silicone or epoxy? The concrete was the least pleasant part of the experience. I know it may seem excessive but if the facility proves to turn a profit, it would be nice to see water being applied to the most trafficked areas. Or even cool decking pathways to each area would...
