I had to share my experience at the Ballwin Mo location, I have never shopped at that location before, and my first experience at a Batteries Plus wasn’t so great. My home security battery went dead so I called Ballwin and got a very patient gentleman on the phone, he told me what battery it possibly was and YouTube my model and he texted me the link on how to remove it. I came in a few hours later to purchase and met Steve the man on the phone and John who was just as nice and helpful. As I waited in line I witnessed these gentleman help customers who were abit needy in my opinion and they seemed like they were very happy and worked great as a team. After my purchase I came home after learning what else this store offered and my wife decided to stop in there to get a watch battery changed and a car remote battery changed, she was met by Steve who not only changed out the batteries for her but talked to my wife as if she was human, not just trying to sell her things she didn’t need, she came home expressing that this purchase really changed her mind on whether to shop at batteries plus again. On our first trip to a batteries plus store we were unhappy with the service, the employees pressure selling and just sounded like they worked on commissions. Read moreI bought the best battery possible and the most expensive one for my car, since day one the battery won’t hold charge even though it’s my daily driver after I get somewhere and shut off the car the battery goes dead in two hours. 1st contact with the store, they told me it’s the car not the battery. Took the car to Maserati and they examined it and gave me a report that it’s the battery. Called them back and they requested I bring the car so they can examine the battery again, did that, they said the battery is holding charge. Took the car to the BMW dealer that I work at and examined the car and they said it’s the battery, also took it to meineke and firestone and they said the battery is the problem. Why would all these places lie and say it’s the battery not the car if they’re there to make money fixing cars????? I got all those reports because the way they treated me is not acceptable specially because I have a warranty and I’m a very busy individual, I will be in contact with my lawyer next week. BMW recommended that I buy the same brand battery and see if I’m still going to have any issues, we did that and all issues disappeared and battery is functioning well. Now I have a dead 300 dollars X2 battery sitting in my garage! Keep in mind, their manager is aware of the situation and multiple other employees as well. Read moreThe team was ever so pleasant in combination with being ever so incompetent. I made an appointment only to show up at a time a tech was not scheduled to replace a battery. The very nice fella reassured me they had the battery and explained that the online scheduling portal does not account for their internal schedules. No worries, I rescheduled. They called the following day to tell me that they did not have the battery that they had put my name on only to somehow miraculously find it. Yesterday, while I was heading over for my appointment, they called to tell me that my battery was no longer available as they had used it for a customer the day before. Okay, to be fair, they had 3 in stock, used 2 on Thursday, but did not check and it turned out that the battery they had put aside for me was actually a defective one that was supposed to have been returned.
Really nice fellas but 4 appointments in, the first one was at a different Batteries Plus that did not have the battery at all when I showed up for my scheduled replacement. Truly, some of the nicest people but they may not solve your problem.
