I found the women's museum to be haphazardly put together and ill -researched. The photo-copied pictures and stories were accurate enough, but dresses were primarily later pieces. The jewelry on display was mainly mid-20th century rhinestone. The oldest jewelry piece was a broken wristwatch from around 1915. In one room they have an 1880s bustle tied around the neck of a seamstress' dummy, as though it were a weird corset - or instrument of torture. A little more research and a lot more respect for your subject would make a world of difference. If you care about women's history, this "museum" is not...

Very simply, a museum. I didn't expect great things, but I was pleasantly surprised! The curator has compiled a great display centered on Women. Other Civil War museums have done many of the same displays but by centering on Women, this one makes the patron reflect on the bravery of our ForeMothers! As a man, I have a tremendous respect for Women that Serve our Country! To do so in our Civil War... and suffering the trivails that said service would have required... These Women are Absolutely Tremendous...

I took my son to Lowe's to get some wood to build his jungle gym for the grandkids, we got there kinda late for a Friday night, but they wasn't very busy,.so we looked around for a while before we started gethering up the wood we needed, and it didn't take us anytime at all to find what we needed and get back on the road to home, the workers there was pleasant and helpful, I think it was the fastest trip we made to Lowe's and back home .
