Barstow Station Cinema Is D'Place — Attraction in Barstow

Ok I'll be fair ticket prices were not horrible 7pm showing was $7.50 w/military discount, per adult, that's why I can give them 1 star, however, the concession prices were OUTRAGEOUS! Come on seriously, you can't get glass of ice water unless you pay for full drink price so you are forced to buy bottled water, ok...NOT OK...so 4 bottle waters, 1 large drink & 1 combo that included only 1 large drink & 1 large bag popcorn (not the big bucket, a bag) $11 for the combo alone, TOTALED $32.00...on top of admission price....an they changed us $0.25 for the Flippin cardboard tray to carry the concessions in....ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME! Relatively few people in theater, when movie started they didn't shut doors to lobby so we had too, bc lite an people in lobby areas very noisy & was interfering with the movie we were watching. IDK how many times Staff came in an did checks, I get it, piracy being what it is, an kids can be unruly however, it was very distracting as we were sitting in 2nd row from top.....sound QUALITY sucked at times the dialogue couldn't be heard an also picture quality was bad, almost as if we were watching a bootleg copy....the theater is old an smelly needs to be updated so at least the experience and price point is worth the expense. In future I'll wait for it to hit Netflix or Redbox or on demand where you get what you pay for, as opposed to dropping over $65 to watch 1 movie...

Tried to take the older kids to let them watch a movie at a responsible time 2 pm parents should....just for them to turn them down 18 year old daughter with her 2 sisters who are 13 they refused service we take them to victorville shame on the parents who allowed the kids the night before to act up which lead to result of refusing other children into the theaters and shame on theaters for allowing over 100 under aged students and ruin it for the decent teenagers...not everyone should be held accountable for situations that a cure. Id rather pay gas and prices to go to an upgraded theater with better customer service THE EMPLOYEE DIDNT KNOW WHAT MOVIES WERE RATED NOR WHAT OTHER MOVIES WERE ON THEY DID NOTHING TO MAKE anyone feel wanted there.....this is why business don't make it in barstow you employees have became so lazy with this whole covid situation. Went to see Gravity 10/14/13. I did enjoy the movie, however the picture quality was was streaky. During the previews I expected the streakyness to clear up. It didn't by time the movie started I was blocked in by three other customers and had already consumed half of my popcorn and drink. After the movie I asked to see the Manager, I told her about the movie quality. She told me that there was nothing she could do since I watched the entire movie. I explained to her I wasn't asking for her for anything, but to make her aware of the issue. There was another customer that felt that he should be given a pass or voucher. While observing the manager and the other customer I got impression from manager's body language and voice she had been aware of the problem. Any way if still want to watch a movie stay away...
