Nina's Market — Attraction in Battle Creek

Honestly I struggle each time I’ve come to this store. I love supporting local, and I’m Mexican so I know the struggle of having inclusive shops and competing against large corps, but the customer service at this store SUCKs! First of, numerous occasions they have sold me a packet of meet that looks great on top but once you open it , it is grey and fridge burned through the middle layers. On one occasion it had a very strong old meat smell. I stopped buying meat from them for this reason. Today, I got out of work and I called 10 minutes prior to me driving out of my way to confirm that they had “rompope”for sell. The lady said they did. I show up 10 minutes later .. I’m walking all over, looking for it. No employees to be seen… I see them all hiding in the back eating. I ask if they could help me find the rompope , no one stands up, I walk away to continue to look for it. At this point I call my husband because he tends to be the one that goes more often and thought maybe he knows. Finally a lady stands up and looks, and walks away..about 1-2 minutes later a 2nd lady comes back up to the front where at this point I’m standing in the middle of the room ready to leave and she says they don’t have any….come one I get things sell out. I would have gave this four stars as there's always room for improvement but I'm only giving this 2 the fact when I walked into the place the lady that was cashier or whatever couldn't even say hi to us when we walked in the door and we said hi to her first so it's only courteous to say hi back to somebody instead she copped an attitude and walked away.
