Honestly, I will never return to this place. I came with such high hopes after reading other reviews and seeing the pictures. Our waitress was ABSIMAL. The restaurant was not packed, but she over 10 minutes to take our drink order. After we got our drinks, which my Whiskey Sour was terrible, she took another 15 minutes to even ask if we were ordering food. We got our appetizers, smoked wings and spinach artichoke dip...disappointed all around. The chips were burnt the dip had a very weird taste and the wings were an Asian BBQ. Nothing here was as expected. I would have rather gone to Applebee's or Chili's, at least they have more than 5 things on the menu and consistency.

Battle Creek has a new place for breakfast. The alloy is in the DoubleTree hotel downtown. Very good atmosphere, the staff is professional and the timing was perfect. I had the Greek omelette which was prepared well. Even the background music was nice, Low key but contemporary. Nice touch.

Had the opportunity to dine here with my family and it was amazing! The hotel itself is beautiful, and service is so friendly! The firewood pizza is to die for. Will definitely be recommending and coming back soon :)

Stayed at the hotel for most of a week since we were playing in a pool tournament being held at the arena. Gabby was our server most times, and honestly, we were kind of disappointed when she wasn't. Gabby was great and even checked on us the couple times she wasn't our server. We always asked to be seated in her section if she was working.

The biscuits & gravy at breakfast was excellent. I had that every morning. Why change it up when you know what's great, right? The steak & eggs looked good from what I saw even though the steak looked a little overcooked.

Only 4 stars because the one bartender always tried to push us to buy more expensive drinks. We tried to order orange tea shots, but they didn't have Jameson Orange(bartender did say he could make it using Jameson & orange bitters), so we opted for white teas. He asked how we made them(Tito's, sweet & sour, Peachtree). He says he has a good idea for a shot. We trust him. 10-15 minutes later, we see him putting 4 large long islands on a tray! We just wanted a quick shot for our team since we still had another match, not a huge glass of almost straight liquor! We refuse them, and he makes us the white teas we wanted in the first place. When we cash out, the 4 drinks he improvised & we refused(totalling $50!) were added to our tab! I understand trying to up-sell, but that was ridiculous! We had our server take them off our bill. I don't know if he thought we wouldn't notice, but if the customer asks for something specific, he should make them what they want instead of trying to sneak them into buying more expensive drinks! He tried this every time he was our bartender, even at 50 Beacon(lounge on the 16th floor). I just want a beer or simple drink, not your "special" $15 cocktail, so you can try to show off your...

We arrived at the restaurant and was not greeted by the person on their phone at the host stand. Made our way to the bar. Restaurant had all of 8 people in it. We sat down at the bar and were greeted by the friendly bar tender. He took our drink order, but he made them about 10 minutes later. We finally got our drinks. $20 for a subpar Woodford Old Fashioned. We ordered a pizza. It came out lukewarm as it sat out waiting for the bartender to deliver the pizza. The port bartender was overwhelmed. He had two tables and now a bar full of people just wanting a drink. As all of this is going on the manager is standing in the corner with his hands in his pockets. He could have delivered the food as he was five steps away from it. The bartender is still busy and now the manager is on his phone. I am a Battle Creek resident and have tried this place 5 times. Until you get someone in this place that can manage people and customers, I will not be back. I really wanted this place to make it. Unfortunately now I hope it fails so a true restaurant owner can take it over. The opportunity for this place to be great is there. It all starts with the managers. Pay attention to detail and your customers will...

We visited The Alloy for breakfast on a Sunday morning and were the only ones there at 9 AM. Finding the restaurant from the parking garage was challenging since the garage signage indicated that the attached DoubleTree hotel was on the second and third floors. The only clue that The Alloy was inside was an entrance from the garage, but there were no directions to the first floor, where the restaurant is actually located. With no exterior signage, the only apparent way to access the restaurant is through the parking garage—there’s more signage at a speakeasy!

Service was good, and the food came in standard portions, which was a relief since the restaurant's online photos made them look smaller.

I ordered the biscuits and gravy, which unexpectedly came with eggs—a nice surprise since the menu didn’t mention it. I also got an extra side of breakfast potatoes. The biscuits were a bit tough, as if they were from the day before, and while the gravy was excellent, the whole meal was only lukewarm. It would have been much better if it had been served...
