I come here frequently, I'd call myself a regular. Usually order the quesadillas or the dipping tortillas, and both dishes are wonderful no matter what you get. Very flavorful and bright, love the side items they come with. However, it's a shame I usually cannot dine in, I'd love to. Cafe Rica's interior is stylish and chic, with different art pieces displayed throughout the year. I love the lighting. But the music is entirely too loud every time I go in, louder than the people talking - I think that's why they turn it up. Takes away from the experience. There are also a thousand flies/gnats that are attracted to that wall of plants they have. They've had this issue for a minute now. Having to brush away bugs while I'm eating is not a fun experience. I would dine outside, but they don't take care of the outdoor dining area really. Another thing is, they constantly put PLASTIC sauce cups on top of HOT FOOD! That is awful and just makes the plastic melt right into the food, and the sauce. Usually I have to take the sauce cups out of my takeout box as fast as I can before it ruins them and I can't eat them. I don't understand why they cannot just put them outside the box! I've brought it up, but nothing has ever changed. I love coming here, and will probably continue to get takeout because the food is really good. Just wish this place cared more...
Read moreI went to this charming Cafe for the first time today. They have been open for a year and this was my first time hearing about them. The staff was lovely and super friendly. They were very helpful with ordering and seemed genuinely happy to help. Rachel and Hannah both took the time to help me and were both incredibly sweet. The decor of the Cafe was very interesting and cozy. They have a large mural of a flamingo, local artist's works, exposed brick, vibrant tile, as well as very cute seating. I also adored how they had little succulents and other plants placed around the restaurant. My favorite was the little Coffee Tree up by where you grab your food to go. I got my food to go. I chose the Tico Tosatadas and added egg. The homemade tortillas were so good. I also bought a tall Apple Gingerbread Tea Latte with coconut milk. The food was delicious. I meant to take a picture before I took my first bite but couldn't wait. And I absolutely love the tea latte. It wasn't overly sweet and it tasted delicious. I'm very impressed with the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience. I greatly look forward to getting food to go again and the opportunity to dine-in eventually. Wonderful atmosphere, wonderful staff, and...
Read morePlaced a group lunch order for the company I was working with in Battle Creek; Here was the grilled cheese I had personally ordered, made in an obvious rush and burnt; my other colleagues orders where sad to sad the least; The most appetizing of all was the cut up fruit; Everything (of a 14 person order) came wrapped in only thin paper that leaked and became greesy ; Instead of being stacked in proper boxes it was all placed on top of each other and thrown in a paper bag; We ordered 4 drinks aswell; While ordered to-go they came in unsealed largely opened cups with lids that spilled the drinks before I even had them loaded into the car; please Don’t take group orders in the future if your kitchen does not have the appropriate capacity to make the food with caution within the time frame request and with the correct transportation and packaging materials for your menu iteams: Would not recommend for group orders; Would not recommend customer service which seemed rude and unhelpful; And would not recommend the food for its quality or taste, various iteams sounded good but when ordered and received came out small and not appealing; As the old saying goes “the food here is terrible.” “I know, and such...
