Battle Creek Welcome Center — Attraction in Battle Creek

It was 15 degrees out, December 18 2019. I did not properly dress for the weather which is my own fault. I went in to see if they had some hand warmers for sale and got ignored until a very nice cop gave me an extra one he had on him (bless his heart). I just needed a warm place to activate the hand warmers for a few minutes before going back outside. Instead I got yelled at by the lady working to go back outside (I was causing zero harm). Only minding my own business. I just find it interesting that they call themselves a welcoming center... when they’d treat a freezing 16 year...

Should probably call this the unwelcome center. Sometimes we'll visit after the farmers market for water and the staff act like we're walking into their personal home uninvited. Museum next door is just a few displays in one small room with a couple of props for photos ops. If you're in the store you might as well visit the museum but I wouldn't make a special trip. Also! This is where the restrooms are. You don't want to make our mistake and think it's in the (un) welcome center even tho...
