This is by far the best food experience that Battle Creek has to offer. My wife and I decided to do a date night. we dressed up night casual and headed downtown to see the renovations for the now (double tree) and to eat at 50 Beacon. It was fairly easy to navigate the hotel lobby to the elevators and a quick ride up the the 16th floor. the sign was small at the end of the hall but once we arrived the atmosphere and ambiance were breathtaking with a beautiful furnished dining area dimly lit with a panoramic view of downtown and the surrounding area. The sun had just set and it was dark enough to really appreciate the view with traffic in motion and the city light-scape. We were immediately greeted, seated, and introduced to an excellent server (Tim). I ordered an ember old fashioned and my wife don't "drink" anymore so she was excited to see a decent "mock-tail" menu with a good assortment of non alcoholic beverages to accompany her food. Tim took our orders and placed them with haste. The drinks were quick to arrive and as a man who has used the "old fashioned" as a drink to go with my food... It was the BEST old fashioned I've ever had. It went great with the beef tenderloin tataki that both me and my wife loved so much that we order 2 extra as take home. THE FOOD!!!!! at first I seen the portion and wasn't put off but definitely was questioning if it was going to be enough. but the combination of the juicy and super tender meat, it's sauce that rides the taste buds and pairs perfect, and the flavorful and crispy bread with the miso butter, we both ordered the cheesecake (so rich) and my beverage provided plenty of filling and we left super impressed with a new local date location that's provides an artisanal assortment of eats and drinks and didn't break my bank. thanks for the amazing experience Tim (Server) , John (Cook) and unfortunately I didn't get the bartenders name. but we will next time date night comes. but she's included in the gratitude! infinite out of infinite times I would recommend. Our new favorite local dining out choice. we can't wait to return to try some more from their menu!

I will start with this is what Battle Creek needs. It's great for going out and enjoying the simple things. I went for the opening and even a couple weeks later and they are improving everytime. It can get packed at times so it can be a gamble if you are going to get a seat. But no worries, head back downstairs and you can find a nice lounge bar and The Alloy also including a bar with great eats!! The staff are great people and very friendly.

I have been to many upscale restaurants and this is one of the best I don’t often leave reviews but for this I had to. It’s very affordable and should be a 5 star restaurant. They have the most juicy tenderloin I’ve ever had. My waiter Tim, and bartender Windi were amazing but most of all the chef John. I have never found myself thanking a chef till now. Will come back with high hopes

My husband and I have enjoyed the Beacon several times since their opening. We had relatives from out of state here last week and couldn't wait to show the restaurant off. We were totally shocked when we waited for over 20 minutes for the server to greet us and then another 20 minutes for drinks to be served. We decided not to order food as who knows how long that wait would be. The server was very kind and I don't think it was her fault. In the past there was a bartender that worked with the server, this bartender stood behind the bar talking to what looked like to be his friends....
