This, in my opinion, is the best place to target when heading to the Magic Kingdom @ WDW. This is also where security and the ticket booths are located. Make sure you keep track of where you park here. This is a large parking lot. But it does have ways to identify the parking areas (section names with row numbers). You should download the My Disney Experience app and it will save your parking area in the app via car locator in the menu options. If you have the app permissions on like Disney wants....the app will alert you and opt for you to save your location when you get there. There are Trams to take you up to the actual Transportation and Ticket Center. From here, you can take the Ferry Boat or the Monorail to the Magic Kingdom. You can also take a Monorail to EPCOT from here as well. ✨️✨️✨️

If you park at the Magic Kingdom parking lot, you will either walk or take the tram to the transportation and ticket center. Then you have the option of either a ferry boat ride or monorail ride to Magic Kingdom (or EPCOT via monorail). The transportation and ticket center is always clean and a great stop for restrooms (with a toddler this is a really nice bonus). Each transportation option is unique and is a ride in itself. The ferry is an excellent open air option, but when you take the monorail, you get to see the resorts and it really gives you a birds eye view of the contemporary resort and chef Mickeys. Our daughter loves them both. I would definitely recommend taking the ferry back from the MK because the lights from the hotels over the lake are so beautiful (very insta-worthy).

A busy, confusing place. Very limited direction and tons of security everywhere. If you try to pickup tickets in advance you'll get three different directions by three different cast members. They have busses, taxis, Ubers, Lyfts ... all in one parking lot without any signs of what goes where.

On the other side are ticket booths, some open and most closed except for opening hours. If you've bought a group of tickets and are trying to find the will-call; good luck. You're best option is to take the Magic Kingdom ferry and strands in line at the guest relations located near the busses just outside the entrance. Caution, wait at least until 90 minutes after the park opens or prepare to stand in line for at least an hour.

Behind the ticket booths are the monorails and MK ferry with little direction or signage. Getting on the wrong monorail will take you Epcot. If you are trying to get to the Grand Floridian resort from TTC to save the $15 parking fee and mistakingly catch in the express monorail, your jaw will drop as the express whizzes by the resort.

If you bring your car be sure to take pictures of any sign near your parking spot. You'll need to know if you're in the "villains" or "heros" lot to determine which parking tram to take to get back to your car. And, a few years ago you could wait for said tram under a cover. Since then, they've reconfigured the area to make space for the security checkpoints with magnetrons. Where the enhanced security is needed, you're no longer under a cover. You'll have to deal with the blistering Florida sun or the afternoon monsoons.

Alternatively, download a parking app and be prepared to wall a mile or two to...

The ticket and transportation center is the hub for all things Disney. Not only does it have 3 different monorail lines but also access to the ferry boat and buses are here. The monorails are the most popular and fastest mode of transportation.

It is important to read the different lines. The express AKA Magic Kingdom monorail provides non-stop service to the Magic Kingdom and back and runs counterclockwise. The resort monorail provides a stop at each of the resorts along the 7 seas lagoon, including the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, and the Contemporary resort. It also stops at the Magic Kingdom. It runs in a clockwise direction. Note if you are staying at the Polynesian, there is a walkway to the ticket and transportation center that takes about 10 minutes. It's a lot easier than doing the local circuit.

The EPCOT monorail provides direct service to EPCOT center. It's a great way of connecting the two parks. The ferry boat provides direct service to the Magic KIngdom. The buses will take you to other resorts and Disney Springs.

Due to the popularity of the monorail two things are known to happen. First every car is usually crowded meaning you'll be standing for most of your ride. Second, the monorails tend to break down easily and you are unnecessarily delayed in getting to where you want to go. Cast members are on sight to answer any questions you may have and of course you can buy theme park tickets here before boarding.

Still it is my preferred method of transportation when visiting the parks and I have been content with it since. You must pay to park before coming here. A courtesy tram will bring you directly...

The Disney Transport Monorail is an efficient, clean, and convenient way to travel between Magic Kingdom, the hotels, and parking lots. Whether you're heading to the park early in the morning or leaving late at night, the Monorail is always running, ensuring a smooth and stress-free transportation experience.

One of the best aspects of the Monorail system is its cleanliness and upkeep. The stations and cabins are well-maintained, making for a comfortable ride. The staff at the stations are always upbeat, friendly, and ready to assist with any questions or directions, adding to the overall Disney magic.

The scenic views from the Monorail windows are a fun bonus. I always enjoy looking out and spotting hidden Mickeys or the iconic Disney logo along the way. Riding at night is especially beautiful, as the park and surrounding areas are well-lit, making it a great experience for those who might struggle with nighttime visibility.

Pros: Clean and well-maintained transportation system Efficient and reliable, running even late at night Friendly and helpful staff at the stations Scenic views, with chances to spot Disney details Well-lit pathways and stations, making nighttime travel easy

Cons:

Can get crowded during peak hours Limited routes, mainly serving Magic Kingdom and nearby hotels

Overall, the Disney Monorail is a fantastic and iconic way to travel within the resort. It’s efficient, enjoyable, and adds a little extra magic to the...
