Exploring the wonders of space and time at Spaceship Earth, where the past meets the future.🚀✨ #Epcot #BayLake #Orlando #Florida #SpaceShipEarth

The ride is located inside the iconic geodesic sphere, which serves as the centerpiece of Epcot. The queue line is well shaded and has plenty of interactive exhibits to keep you entertained while you wait. Once you board the ride vehicle, you will be transported back in time to the prehistoric era where you will see the earliest forms of communication. From there, you will travel through the centuries, witnessing the development of writing, printing, and the invention of the telephone and the internet.

The ride features stunning animatronics and sets that are sure to leave you in awe. Every scene is carefully crafted to provide an immersive experience that makes you feel like you are actually in that era. The narration is provided by Judi Dench, who does an excellent job of bringing the story to life. Her voice is soothing and easy to listen to, and she provides interesting facts and insights about each era.

One of the best things about Spaceship Earth is that it is suitable for all ages. Young children will enjoy the colorful scenes and fun animations, while older visitors will appreciate the historical significance of the ride. It is a great way to spend some time indoors, especially during the hot summer months in Florida.

To make the most out of your experience at Spaceship Earth, it is recommended that you use a FastPass+ reservation. This will allow you to skip the long queue lines and get on the ride faster. It is also a good idea to visit the ride early in the day when the park is less crowded.

Yes, I know. It's an old ride, and not as technological as it used to be despite being updated periodically throughout the years. It's still somewhat nostalgic, even though I visited this park for the first time as a young adult in the early 90s. What I remember is the narration by Walter Cronkite, and that it's a slow moving ride that takes about 15 minutes to get from the past to the future in the time machine vehicle.

The advantage is that there is not much of a line anymore. It's also great to ride in the afternoon since it's dark, air conditioned, and comfy. It's a somewhat smooth ride. There are some steep climbs as you're traveling up through Spaceship Earth. You're in a backwards decline on the way down (hence, the comfy part).

There were some changes to the ride. There's a new narration by Judi Dench. The audio-animatronic figures have newer costumes. They've added a facial recognition element that captures you when they tell you to look at the camera. It later transposes your facial features on futuristic caricatures. Be on the look out for that. I didn't even notice it until my husband pointed it out on the screen in front of us. There are questions that you answer along the way. You answer them on a touch screen. It passes the time away as you're ascending or descending in between scenes.

Did you know that science fiction writer Ray Bradbury helped with the design of the structure as well as with the original script? Another interesting tidbit was that the Tampa Steel Erecting Co. played a big part in fabricating the steel using an earlier form of CAD. That was pretty advanced for its time. Yay, Tampa!

Make this ride a part of your day at EPCOT. Just be sure to check the Genie app tip board on the wait times before meandering over there from the World Showcase. It's a long walk (big park). We got over 20,000...

Spaceship Earth...

Is intriguing and enthralling, the most rewarding experience at Epcot. -A Historically enriching showcase.

Epcots Flagship attraction and the signature symbol of the park. 30,000 years of time travel takes you from the past into the present time... ...at the end of your journey you return to Earth. Narrated by Laura Dern. Spaceship Earth first opened in 1982 during the inaugural opening of Epcot and has changed little since then. The ride lasts approximately 16 minutes and is truly a timeless classic. Yes you do actually enter the 'Geosphere' a 180 foot tall marvel of engineering. The Geosphere is a Geodisc polyhedron. ..3 isosceles triangles connect together to form each point, 11,324 individual tiles form the sphere.

Your taken into history starting in the Stone Age and advance stage by stage ending and culminating in the modern Computer Age. Award winning choir and opera music transition you from each scene. You witness scenes of... 'The painting of the Sistene Chapel the Birth of the Greeks and Romans and the 1969 Apollo Moon Landing to name a few.'

Spaceship Earth is open to riders of all ages there are no height restrictions. The appeal is universal kids and seniors will love this ride. (The ride does not exceed 2 MPH) Do make your visit before 10AM or after 4 PM if you wish to bypass lines. Spaceship Earth is located at the main entrance to Epcot.

Epcots Spaceship Earth is a true classic and favorite among its riders. A must see attraction for sure. If you like Pirates of the Carribean you will equally enjoy Spaceship Earth.

'Project Tommorow' greets you at the end. Interactive exhibits... where your photo is stored and captured. Here you can take home mementos and souveniers.

I highly recommend this ride. Epcots...

The dreamiest of places 🌐✨ Spaceship Earth is THE Disney park icon for me. A symbol of culture, community and hope, all 11,000+ isosceles triangles come together to create our beloved “Epcot ball” 💘 My walk to and from work at Epcot’s U.K. pavilion consists of me gazing at Spaceship Earth with all the stars in my eyes 💫 That was part of my 2018-2019 program and is part of my current second Disney program too. I’ll always choose to walk across world showcase to work because I get to see Spaceship bae 🫶 That is one of my favourite memories and I’m still creating them today 🐭 What’s your dreamiest Disney memory? #disneyprograms #disneyprogramslife #epcast #laurensfloatinglights #spaceshipearth

Cosy evenings after working for the mouse 🐭✨ There are over 75,000 cast members making magic at @waltdisneyworld 🏰🇺🇸 From custodials to imagineers, every cast member is crucial to the storytelling that is Disney 🥰 As a Disney international cast member working at Epcot’s Rose and Crown, U.K. pavilion, I love my job and cherish the days of seeing Spaceship Earth on my way to work 🌐 However, it’s also super important to practice self care! An early finish from work for me consisted of getting cosy and being productive 🤍 I usually don’t get home until around midnight every night, so it was nice to be back a little earlier 🫶 Got any questions about the Disney U.K. Cultural Representative Program? Let me know below 💗 ✨ I do not speak on behalf of The Walt Disney Company ✨ #laurensfloatinglights #disneycastlife #disneyprograms
