I'm not entirely sure if the ride was just malfunctioning when I was on it, but I noticed a lot of things that weren't quite right. During one scene, you see a clown fish (could be nemo but I've never watched it so it may be his dad) being chased by an evil looking fish. I realised that the crane the latter was attached to was fully in view. Whilst on the ride, I could easily see there was a mechanical arm controlling the fish, which could ruin the magic for a child. In the turtle scene, I noticed that there were two overhead screens and there was a clear point where they met. As the animated turtles moved through the tunnel they changed colour. On one side, the tones were muted, and on the other, everything was bright green. I have ridden on this before, around six years ago, and I remember this feeling very fast when it really wasn't, but this time it felt horrid and at one point i thought the ride had gone wrong again because it felt like I was going backwards. The sound was also very quiet throughout the ride; at the start, you could hear the queue over the characters. Now I don't know if I just caught it on a particularly bad day, because I was on it when it shut down. I went back later and experienced all of this. I also tried it in the evening of the same day to see if they had fixed things, and they hadn't. I had an even better view of the obvious crane this time because the man in the clam shell next to mine had his phone torch on the entire time. They also keep captive dolphins. I think that is...
Read moreThe Nemo & Friends ride at EPCOT is a delightful and immersive experience that captures the charm of the beloved Pixar film while adding a uniquely Disney touch. From the moment you enter the queue, you’re transported into the underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef. The atmosphere is peaceful, colorful, and full of small details that set the mood perfectly—great for kids and adults alike.
The ride itself uses a gentle, continuously moving clamshell vehicle that glides through a combination of screens, animatronics, and actual aquarium scenes. It’s a perfect mix of storytelling and real marine life, making it both entertaining and educational. Seeing Nemo, Dory, Marlin, Crush, and the rest of the gang come to life around you as they “swim” through real tanks filled with live fish is just magical. Disney did an amazing job blending animation with the real aquarium in a way that feels seamless and truly unique.
The ride ends in The Seas with Nemo & Friends Pavilion, which is packed with interactive exhibits, a giant aquarium, and even manatees! It’s the kind of attraction where the fun doesn’t stop once the ride ends—you can easily spend another 30-45 minutes exploring everything inside the pavilion afterward.
Low wait times, indoor A/C, and a relaxing pace make this ride an awesome break from the Florida heat and crowds. A must-do if you’re visiting EPCOT, especially with younger kids or anyone who loves the ocean.
Absolutely worth it every time. Disney magic...
Read moreThere is technically two halves to this experience, the ride and then the aquarium itself. These two things really shouldn't be considered the same thing, but since they are, I'll do my best to review them. The ride portion is a sort of re-telling of the story of Finding Nemo, while projecting Nemo and friends inside the water with the real fishes of the aquarium. The result is pretty cool, but I can't help but wish we had a bit more of a glimpse into the aquarium itself that this ride goes through. All the same, it's a fun little ride that rarely has much of a wait to get on. Now the aquarium is the real star of the show here. Once owning the title of largest aquarium in the world, this thing is huge. I read once that the great big golf ball, Spaceship Earth, could easily fit inside the aquarium here. I don't know if that's true, but the space does seem to stretch on for forever and contain a heckuva lot of water and marine life. I could explore this place for hours and not get bored. Heck, I could watch the manatees alone for hours and not get bored. So, check out Nemo, but stay for...
