A great pavilion paying tribute to the land in many ways! This is located in Disney’s EPCOT Theme park. It is one of the pavilions that is NOT located around the lake with the countries. As you enter the park follow the path to the right under or next to Spaceship Earth (the big ball at the entrance). It is between Nemo and Figment located on the west side of the entrance. You enter on the second floor of a large building. A walkway goes to the right or left and allows a view down to the first floor. The second floor hosts 2 areas of interest: a restaurant and a movie about, you guessed it, the land. An escalator, stairs, or elevator ride will bring you to the first floor which hosts at least 3 main areas. The first is the gentle boat ride called Living with the Land that takes you on several biomes describing various climates found in the world. Then it floats you through the greenhouse before depositing you back next to the beginning of the ride. Across from this is the second area, the food court, hosting something for all palates. The third area is the Soaring concourse. This is a little more adventurous but a very enjoyable experience that simulates flying through beautiful and unique areas around the world. Each of these areas sports something unique and all should be tried at some point. Overall, the land has many great things to see...
Read moreThe Land is a building complex which represents one part of the Epcot theme park. The land consists of a self service restaurant that serves some good quality food at a reasonable price for a Disney resort. It has a more expensive restaurant where you can meet Chip and Dale, Mickey Mouse and Pluto for Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner as part of a character experience. The land has 2 rides the first is 'Living with The Land' which shows how farming techniques can help to prevent environmental issues. This is a boat ride like Its a small world in magic kingdom. Perfect way to sit down and enjoy the ride while staying out of the hot sun. The second ride is 'Soaring' This is a 180 degree screen that replicates flying across various parts of the world with music and unique smells from those areas. You need to get a fast pass for this or you can be waiting up to 50 mins plus. As the day gets later the ride does get less busy. There use to be a third ride but this is vacant. there are rumours of something...
Read moreThe Land in Epcot is a pavilion just to the right past the bug ball (Spaceship Earth). Inside you can find 2 rides, Soarin Around the World and Living with the Land. Soarin Around the world is a hang glider simulation that lifts you up to a screen to see many of the beautiful sights on this world we call home. It is gental but people with motion sickness problems so be cautious. Living with the Land is a slow moving boat ride through a few of the climates on Earth that ends through a giant green house showcasing how Disney helps innovate agriculture.
Also in the Land is a restaurant with food served family style, Garden Grill. It features Chip and Dale as meet and greet characters. The meal tends to be our favorite with comfort food such a sliced turkey and mac and cheese. If you want something more casual head downstairs to Sunshine Seasons. Food here is served fast food style and has things like Mongolian Beef in noodles or deep dish...
