Let me start by saying — my expectations for this lounge were already sky-high. I truly believe that the Walt Disney World culinary scene is one of the most underrated in the entire industry. Too often, people dismiss it as just theme park fare, without realizing the incredible dining culture WDW has cultivated over the past 50+ years. The level of thought, innovation, and quality here deserves far more recognition than it gets.
Just so you know what you’re seeing in the photos — here’s what I ordered:
BITES
Truffled Ahi Tuna: Japanese Whisky Barrel-aged Soy-Truffle Ponzu, Citrus, Scallion, Tobiko, Black Sesame Seeds
This dish is a masterclass in balance. The Ahi tuna is so fresh it practically melts, with the whisky barrel-aged soy-truffle ponzu adding a layer of umami that feels refined without overwhelming the fish. The citrus notes brighten the bite, while the tobiko brings a subtle pop and brininess that complements everything on the plate. It’s refreshing, flavorful, and executed with precision — a perfect starter that instantly lets you know GEO-82 isn’t playing around.
Jumbo Lump Crab Gâteau: Smoked Cheddar, Pickled Mustard Seed-Lemon Vinaigrette, Supreme Caviar
As good as the tuna was, the Crab Gâteau somehow surpassed it. It’s rich without being heavy — like a cross between a delicate crab cake and a luxe seafood pâté. The smoked cheddar brings warmth and depth, the vinaigrette offers tang and brightness, and the caviar on top? Pure elegance. Every bite is layered and intentional. This isn’t just a seafood dish — it’s a conversation in flavor.
DRINK
A Walk Through the Garden: Seedlip Garden 108 Non-Alcoholic Spirit, Basil, Fennel, Lemon, Hella Cocktail Co. Orange Bitters, The Bitter Truth Celery Bitters, Bubbles
Calling this drink “refreshing” feels like a massive understatement. It’s vibrant, herbal, a little sweet, a little sour — perfectly calibrated from the first sip to the last bubble. The combination of basil, fennel, and bitters makes it feel like spring in a glass, and the presentation is just as beautiful. Easily one of the most impressive zero-proof cocktails I’ve had anywhere on Disney property who are THE masters of that particular craft.
FINAL THOUGHTS
My expectations were already sky-high going in, but GEO-82 blew past every single one of them. The food was phenomenal, but the experience was made unforgettable by Ranger — my server, who was an absolute standout. Knowledgeable, passionate, and a joy to talk to, she described each drink she crafted with the same level of care as the kitchen puts into every plate. Sitting at the bar was the right call — the whole experience felt immersive, artistic, and deeply satisfying. GEO-82 isn’t just a great spot in EPCOT; it’s...
Read moreA great place to see EPCOT, literally. This is a food location that recently opened in EPCOT. We saw it on one of our visits to the park.. It is located on the south side of Spaceship Earth and takes on the triangular theme, words and view of the large dome above it. Reservations for this are very hard to book as it is usually reserved for 60 days ahead of time. I originally thought I was going to just go to say that I went but after actually visiting I would gladly go again. It is truly very well done from the look to the theme and from the service to the food. It is excellent. You enter from the west side of Spaceship Earth. You are allowed to enter about a5 minutes ahead of your reservation and take the stairs or elevator to the upper floor. There you are given a cold clean towel to freshen up with while you wait in a very nice small lounge. When your time arrives your name is called and you are pleasantly greeted and walked to your seat. We got a small 2-person table right along the window overlooking the central plaza and the main walkway toward the countries. The room is upscale in a many ways. The colors are gold, beige, black and silver. The servers are dressed very well and the floor and tables are kept clean consistently. Our server, Kim from Pensacola with the Pumpkin earrings was fabulous from the moment we sat down. We ordered 2 cocktails and the charcuterie board with various cheeses, meats and sauces that were amazing. Everything was excellent. It was truly a magical experience that we hope to try again when we can get another reservation. This is a hidden treasure that you should try if you...
Read moreI was so excited to go to Geo-82. It has been so hyped up and even difficult to find a reservation. I scored a reservation for 2, and we were not seated until 45 minutes after my reservation time. We were told to wait In Project Tomorrow and while we waited, three different cast members approached us asking why we were there because they seemed to want us to exit. We explained that we were told by Geo-82 to wait there. After the 45-minute wait, we received a text that our table was finally ready. Then they wanted to seat us at the bar even though there were several two tops open. I wanted to be able to appreciate the ambiance, not to stare at the bartender. I asked for a table instead and was glad that after an additional 15-minute wait, they gave us a table. I had a brown butter old fashioned at $28. A lot of the reviewers were saying it was the most fantastic old fashioned ever, but it really was just okay. The best thing about this place is the ambiance. I love the geodesic designs everywhere. I don't think Geo-82 lives up to the hype, though. Maybe there will be more availability and less of a wait time when all the influencers get done making their TikToks and YouTube videos about it.
Update: I went back again in September and had a much better experience. There was no wait and they didn't try to seat us at the bar. My drink, The Electron, was fabulous. My friend ordered the Peach Smash and it was tasty. Christopher, our server, made us feel welcome. I added a star...
