This area of the park is always nice but will be even better once the Tron coaster opens. I also can't wait for the train to be fixed and operational.
This gets crowded. They also need to look into adding something where Alien Encounter/Stich's Great Escape used to be just to eat up some capacity.
It looked like the lines for the Monster's Inc show were not long so maybe it is time to upgrade that into something more popular.
Disney needs to start adding restaurants or even minor attractions that won't necessarily attract new guests but will take up some of the crowds. When it opened, Monsters Inc had a full theater and the same amount of people waiting for every show. That was a decent amount of people taken out of the walkways.
With more hotels being built the parks are more crowded than ever. Small things that can eat up people need to be added. Another night parade would do wonders in this area because people line up hours before, freeing up the rest of the park. No Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios hurts also because more people just come to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot towards evening when that's when the parks usually empty some.
After 10 or 11 am the park was packed beyond what was what I would consider fun and manageable. We have been going every few years since 1997 so we have a...
Read moreCompared to Disneyland's Tomorrowland, there's so much more of a balance with things to do that blend nostalgia and modern experiences. On the one hand diehard history buffs can enjoy the relaxing options of the People Mover or the Carousel of Progress. I miss the People Mover of Disneyland! Space Mountain, for all its rough riding deja vu of Disneyland's Matterhorn, will always be a draw. But now we have Tron, the smooth riding, fast-paced improvement worth multiple go-arounds once Disney allows more than one spin on the bikes.
Tomorrowland here has plenty of space to move around, yet it does feel like it needs perhaps one other dimension to bring it all together. While I'm not big on character meet and greets, I appreciate the live interactions in other themed areas. Tomorrowland doesn't appear to have that capacity to bring the future (or the retro-future) alive. Where are the Tron actors? How about some Mid-Century Modern "Atomic" characters from the 50s and 60s? ...

Tomorrowland is usually where I end my day at Disney. While many attendees are watching the parade or fireworks show, I take the opportunity to get on Space Mountain (which usually has a 1hr+ wait time otherwise!).
It's fun to end the day on a "futuristic note" so you feel like you've come full-circle through the park's themes. All the rides have a space-like theme, with many attractions suitable to the whole family, such as the laid-back People Mover or the character-themed Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin (a competitive ride where you shoot at alien targets). There's a little something for everyone here (whether you like thrills, or want something calming so you can rest your feet), and I highly recommend...
