The Pandora Recreation area in Disney's Animal Kingdom, designed by the Imagineers, is an exceptional creation. When you enter the park, head to the left and you'll find one of the two entrances to this remarkable section. Inspired by the movie Avatar, set on the planet Pandora, it depicts a jungle-like environment where majestic humanoid creatures coexist with nature, while Earth's corporate entities seek to exploit its resources. The recreation of the Valley in this area is truly immersive, making you feel like you've stepped onto another planet.
Within the Valley, you'll discover two thrilling rides, a store, and a cafeteria. The cafeteria offers delectable food, but it's important to note that online ordering is required. In my opinion, it serves the best cuisine in the entire park. Parents can expect to find unique items such as rocks, dolls, or bows from the planet at the store. The two rides, the boat ride and the avatar ride, often have long wait times, but they are definitely worth it. There are also numerous picturesque spots throughout the valley, perfect for capturing memorable photos.
As you leave the area, I highly recommend taking the alternative exit that leads you along a serene boardwalk beside the river adorned with lily pads. This hidden gem is one of my favorite parts of the park, offering tranquility and beauty without the usual crowds. Overall, visiting the Pandora Recreation area is a delightful experience and a must-see attraction within Disney's...

It is a jungle-like planet and the recreation of the Valley does a wonderful job of making you believe you are on this planet. The Valley has 2 rides, a store, and a cafeteria. The cafeteria food requires online ordering and is, in my opinion, the best food in the park. Parents should expect to be getting rocks, dolls, or bows that are from the planet from the store. The two rides are the boat ride and the avatar ride. Both usually have long waits but are worth it. There are several areas for good pictures throughout the valley. I would recommend that as you are departing the area left by way of the other exit that takes you along a boardwalk on the river with lily pads. This is one of my favorite parts of the park and is very pretty, peaceful, and rarely crowded. Overall, this is a very nice part of the Animal...

Kudos to the designers for the smooth transition from the jungle and rainforest landscapes of Africa and Discovery Island to the artificial world of Pandora. Take your time here. Walk around, look around, and smell the roses... or the equivalent. Some fun interactive features for the young visitors and several benches for us older guests to rest our feet for a few minutes. Make sure you visit this area after dark! It's beautifully lit up and has a whole different feel...
