Great iconic experience at the Hancock County Public Library ๐! Immediately I was drawn into the pleasant atmosphere and shortly after I was greeted with a warm welcome invitation to the library by Deborah. Deborah informed me that the service I had been searching for all day was available at the Hancock County Public Library. In addition to that Deborah walked me through the process and explained to me in detail what I would need to do. Deborah kindly introduced me to Sally, another kind and friendly staff member of Hancock County Public Library, and Sally assisted me in completing the service I needed to complete. After I was finished with that task Sally offered me the opportunity to get my own library ๐ card and explained several of the things I am able to do with my New card ๐. Upon completion of my experience I was even greeted by the Brach manager ๐ฒ I was so grateful for my experience today that I just had to share... Hancock County Library System is definitely my favorite place to go for...
ย ย ย Read moreI donโt know why it took me so long to go to the BSL branch of the Hancock County Library. I was spending thousands yearly for books on Amazon - I am a vociferous and fast reader. When I finally wised up and visited our library I was so pleased to find a great selection of books, many additional services, in a comfortable setting. And the staff - what can I say - they are so welcoming and helpful. The Books For Sale are such a good deal. I canโt tell you how many books (mainly hardbacks) I have purchased for $1. What a deal!! Some of them look brand new and I have given many as gifts. I โpay it forwardโ and donate most of the books I have read. I have always loved libraries. I grew up in a small town and was a frequent visitor of our local one. I feel at home in the BSL branch and find it a wonderful place to spend time or just a...
ย ย ย Read moreThis library would be great especially in the kids area if they would open a few of the active play toys, for example they have a train track, but no trains available for full interaction. The rule is you must check the trains out even just to stay in the library to complete the full interaction that is already offered for play.
I would encourage the use of toys to be used freely (as they do for kids in many other competitive libraries) so that it invites more of the community to get involved with such a lovely library without worrying about having a library card.
Here are some examples of another library with kids full interaction of play toys without...
