King Wah — Restaurant in Bay Saint Louis

This place is a little gem. The service was great even though they were busy.

My husband got the sweet and sour pork, and we were pleasantly surprised by the large portion. There was plenty of sauce on it, too!

I got a bowl of soup. The soup was exactly what I needed it to be. I'm fighting a sinus infection and just wanted something bland and hot. I got the chicken and rice soup. It was exactly what I needed! If you want something with more flavor, I recommend one of their many other options. I was served plenty of the crispy noodles to go on top. :)

We shared a large plate of steamed dumplings with sauce. They were so plump and so good! We also shared a 2 piece egg roll. The egg rolls are the star of the show. This is by far, hands down the best place to get egg rolls on the coast! Almost ordered some to take home! 😅

I ordered egg rolls and spring rolls to go because I was craving them. My egg rolls where literally black on one side from being burnt and half of it was unedible, then since I was desperate because of my craving I try to eat the other half and freak out because I think I see tomatoes in my egg rolls, it was actually small shrimp that where completely red?! I’m from south louisiana and can promise you NO shrimp should look like this, not even my cat would eat them. I’m not sure if this was rotten in a deep freezer or was some artificial Asian type meat but it didn’t taste like food at all! I was literally PMSing so wasn’t picky at all, this is pretty sad! Plus the cabbage had a strange smell and was a grayish brown. I would actually be scared to feed my children an actual meal from here after seeing this. I'm sorry but this is the absolute worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. It doesn't even taste like Chinese food It tastes like it was cooked by white people. The pepper steak was a joke bc where's the steak at? There were 6 thin small slices of what looked and taste like deli roast beef. The shrimp lo main had 4 shrimp and the sweet and sour shrimp were all batter and a tiny shrimp inside. No veggies or anything in the fried rice, I've ate a a million different Chinese restaurants and never had fried rice that was just rice only. Not worth the $60 I wasted. I still ended up having to cook my kid dinner, he took one bite and refused to eat it and that's his favorite take out Chinese.
