European Day Spa & Suites — Attraction in Bayonne

I recently booked a spa date for my boyfriend and I. We weren't able to do a couple massage since the room size was limited so we ended up receiving 2 separate massages instead. We both finished on time.

I booked for a Swedish massage + 15 minutes scalp massage and my boyfriend for the European Combination (Swedish & Deep tissue) massage + 15 minutes scalp massage.

For some reason on the computer, my add-on was listed as 15 minutes extra massage instead of the 15 minutes scalp massage. I spoke with my masseuse Sarah and she explained to me about the clerical mix up, and to next time ask for a "Tea tree oil scalp massage" over the phone to avoid confusions. She also offered it, but I declined given the limited time I had.

Now about my massage experience, Sarah did an amazing job stretching and massaging my body. There were tensions especially around my neck/shoulder due to sitting on the computer all day. She also showed me different stretching techniques for my arms, legs, and neck which I will start using from now on.

I also want to mention that my boyfriend's masseuse is Tamika. He had an amazing experience as his first time receiving a professional massage. He even fell asleep for a bit!

Overall my experience with European Day Spa was amazing. Staffs were professional, place was clean and the service was worth the price.

I would recommend this place to anyone and will stop by again...

I wanna say i was so much in need of a massage and Yani went above and beyond with herself today! I had a little discomfort on my lower back and she focused on that spot. I was so tensed up with alot of knots and she took her time to release them. She also gave me a few tips on stretching due to my stiffness on my lower body. I am so going back! She went from medium to firm on the massage and it felt awesome. I only have one complain… i wanted more lol. I booked 30 minutes to try the shop out. Now i know i need like a 2 hr session! Afterwards I pampered myself with a customized facial very much needed as well, Boe was so sweet and gentle with me I immediately felt at home! My skin was very dehydrated from lack of drinking water, she revived my skin instantly with her amazing products that i also purchased to keep up with at home. My face was very irritated when i walked in with a minor case of rosacea. She took her time to let me know not all face scrubs are good, ive been using a very aggressive one and it has been doing me wrong! She suggested one for me and a very much needed serum moisturizer! I regret stepping foot in this place. My mom scheduled an appointment for me and requested I specifically be serviced by Bozena after hearing of the spa from a coworker. However, upon my first visit, I was going to be treated by another lady before I intervened. Bozena then came in to the room and tried to comfort me by saying that I was in good hands and she would be unable to service me because she had an appointment. I was confused as to why I wasn’t informed about the change and said I would reschedule. She responded by attempting to provide a complementary facial which I declined. I had class that day and was truly disappointed with the lack of communication and treatment I received. I went there two times after the first visit and I was bombarded with questions of my mom’s profession and who recommended my mom to the place. It is not a good feeling to be questioned to the extent that I was and to feel less than for whatever reason. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to any person of color.
