Bruno’s Pizza — Restaurant in Bayonne

Ordered here for the first time last night, and glad that I did! I ordered a large supreme pizza, a sicilian with pepperoni, buffalo wings, beef patty with cheese and pepperoni and chicken fingers w/ fries. Compared to some other places I have tried locally, I like it. It's not crispy how I prefer my pizza, but it does have a nice soft bottom that isn't super chewy and cheap tasting... or burnt to the point I can't chew. I def enjoyed the supreme pie and will order a again. The wings, chicken fingers and beef patties are nothing special. Typical appetizer style food, but the sauce used on the wings was good and I liked that the presentation of the food (not burnt, no sloppy, and not tossed around) was very well done. The prices are fair, similar to most pizza places around. I think they could definitely give some of the bigger/better known pizza places a run for their money. No disrespect to other pizzerias, but Bruno's just made the list for me. Def in my top 3 out of 5 pizza places I will be using regularly.

I run the Bayonne Chess Society & Club. The owner is a chess player. So are some of his employees. He told us he'd love to host our events and gatherings. So, we agreed on Tuesday evenings from 6 pm to 10 pm. We play all over Bayonne, as several places host us throughout the week.

We also get a discount off our food and purchases, if we order while we play. Considering how good the dishes I've tasted have been..not only can we play chess, but we get to eat and save some money...it's a win win.

I llllooovvveee their pasta..I've tried their different pastas, with vodka sauce and two meatballs. I pretty much get that every time we play. The bread that's served with it is soooo good. I've also had their sandwiches. Their large sandwiches are massive.

They have their back outdoor dining area available now. So, it's perfect for chilling out, eating, and playing chess. Our members love it. They always put on a pot of coffee for us. They're friendly, they have first rate service. My highest recommendation.

I love when the owner sometimes slips away to sit down and get a quick game now. Now, THAT'S a chess lover. He only recently started playing chess, but he's coming along nicely.

I asked him who did the landscaping for his outside area. He told me he ALSO owns a landscaping company. That's a man with a vision for success.

There are a lot of pizzerias in Bayonne but Bruno’s is fantastic and such a great location to which is right down the block from Bayonne HS. The special slices and regular are so good even the size of the slice is great down to the garlic knots that actually have garlic on them and not just dough like some other pizzerias. Sandwiches are fantastic I recommend there Philly which is delicious and the staff are very friendly, all in all great place that took over for Pizzalinos. Sorry to get off topic but it seems like this Alyson lady was the only bad review but Houlighans is better I don’t think so cause Houlighans was very...
