Kaylee cuts curly hair like the pro she is! After searching high and low for an affordable and knowledgeable stylist who can cut curly hair with the best of em', I came across Kaylee due to another client's raving review (thank you immensely, fellow reviewer). When Kaylee informed me that she herself is in fact a fellow curly girlie, well that absolutely sealed the deal - I couldn't have been in safer hands.

Kaylee walked me through her plan before starting, which really made me feel like I had a say in the process. She answered all of my questions, informed me of best curly girl practices, and took my feedback into account when I changed my mind towards the end and wanted to pull the shortest layer up a bit higher.

The final result was stunning, truly. She shaped my hair in a way that really defined my curls and brought out my curl pattern beautifully. She also took into account the fact that I straighten my hair for special occasions. I will shamelessly admit that I did, in fact, straighten my hair Day 2, just to see the versatility of the cut. Oh my gosh, my straight hair has never looked this pretty. The layers form a gorgeous, gentle 'v' shape down my back, the face framing pieces accentuate my features, and my hair feels so light, but not thin. I've received so many compliments, both curly and straight; this haircut has healed my soul.

Kaylee was also very honest with how much needed to be taken off - .5-1 in. - and commended me on my hair health given it had been a year and a half since my last cut. Other stylists would have attempted to chop more (speaking from personal experience) but when I relayed to Kaylee that my goal was retaining the most healthy length possible, she made that her goal as well. And when Kaylee says "only .5- 1 in." she means ONLY .5-1 in. I think we've all been in a situation where 1 in. actually ends up being 5 in.!

I used to throw my hair up every chance I got for conveniences sake. Now, I look forward to wearing my hair down.

Short story: first time ever visiting this salon and I don’t want to step foot in any other salon again. Maddi is incredible and the gal who styled my hair at the end is also amazing. Cute and clean place and super friendly staff.

Long story: I just visited Salon Cheveux today for the first time ever. My original appointment was with someone in the salon who ended up not making it in today. Instead of asking me to reschedule to a different they were able to squeeze me in the same day just 30 minutes later. I was so relieved! They had no idea but I have a huge work event next week and no time left to get my hair done. The salon is so cute and they have tons of accessories and jewelry - literally everything in there I wanted to buy, so so cute. Then I got a chair with Maddi. She was so inviting and easy to talk to. I feel like I’m not great at giving direction but she knew exactly what I wanted and I seriously can’t express how grateful I am. She was very detailed and thorough during the whole appointment. Seriously, Maddi made the experience so great! I did not catch the name of the gal who dried and styled my hair but she was also so sweet and easy to talk to. I can’t say enough about this place. I am so grateful I found them and look forward to...

This place is truly amazing, so I have to share! They offer a fantastic selection of products and boutique items. My hairstylist is ALLIE, and she’s an absolute angel, by far the sweetest stylist I’ve ever met. Even when I come in after working overnight, she makes sure I feel relaxed and comfortable in her chair. I trust her completely with my color and haircuts, and she works wonders with my curly hair. She even has a journal of what colors she’s used on you in the past 🥹

What I appreciate most about Allie is her honesty. She always asks about your long-term goals for your hair and what you're feeling in the moment. I never realized how important that question was until I met her. She's great at guiding you when you're unsure, and she's mindful of the time it takes to achieve certain goals, all while protecting the integrity of your hair.

The staff here is wonderful as well. They always offering refreshments and helping each other out. MAHUM also gives fantastic blowouts, and I’ve seen her do incredible color work on her clients.
