Texas Roadhouse — Restaurant in Bedford

UPDATE Just lost a fairly regular customer! Went back tonight with a $40.00 coupon that was sent to me about 10-12 days ago, due to over cooked steaks, this time I couldn't get the BLEEDING to stop, 2 steaks Under cooked. Showed it to the waitress, she said it was right for a Medium cooked steak... all these years I've gone to TR and always ordered my steak Medium, it has always (except for a couple occasions) been just right. The last two visits suggests there is something amiss in the Kitchen. Additionally, there did not appear to be any management on the premises on this visit.

Lastly, it was interesting to see two other tables in our vicinity sending their steaks back due to excessive bleeding!

I don't want your coupons to come back, You still made money off of me even though I could not finish my meal because it turned my stomach every time I cut into my steak and the bleeding commenced again... even my baked potato got soggy on the bottom from the bleed.

I'll just do my civil service and warn folks about the deterioration of service and quality at the Bedford, Texas Roadhouse - don't go there until maybe tou see signage suggesting "Under New Management". Maybe then I will give it another try.

I hope this gets to the corporate office, because they need to know... but then they are probably in New York or California, and that explains alot!

Headed to Outback and Logans - better yet, I think I'll go to Anna's, their steak fajitas are excellent and great waitstaff!

'XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Absolutely, Positively, the Best Steaks around - you can't go wrong at Texas Roadhouse. All steaks are cooked to your preference and cooked to perfection to the point this connoisseur never needs to use any flavor enhancers, I really don't understand why the have steak sauce in the restaurant - they are not needed. From the very first bite to the last, your mouth will be overjoyed with the natural flavor of great choice meats, smoked over a sizzling fire by what must be some of the finest steak chefs in the area.

My personal favorite is the Ft. Worth Rib eye but there are many other cuts to select from and I've never heard anything bad about any of them. So get in the saddle and head on over to the Texas Roadhouse for the best Steak, reasonably priced, and great atmosphere in town. You won't regret it! Y'all will be back soon I...

Went to Texas Roadhouse in Bedford, Texas last night about 8:15 and it was bad from the beginning to end. I go to Texas Roadhouse regularly for the consistency and quality but Bedford was bad. Walked in and got seated right away (used the app to join wailist)so off to a good start right? Wrong. Got seated and did not get a server veggie we were asked to move to the table next to us beggar they were "closing down that tables section". There were about 5 full tables in this section but whatever so we moved 5 feet. Waited another 5 minutes before we had anyone wait on us. Got out drink order in then food order. Ask 3 if it's got steaks medium rare. They came out cold and purple in the middle with absolutely zero flavor. I even sprung for the expensive bone in ribeye. A good vet could have brought them back to life they were so under. I decided to just eat mine because I was starving. We only sent one back and that must have triggered their rude manager. I've never seen her before she basically threw my son's steak back at him after it being gone 15 minutes. Lord knows what they did to it. But when it finally came back it wasn't edible anyway so whatever they did he didn't eat it. In the past 4 years this location has been terrific! I haven't been in a couple months but didn't recognize one single teenaged face running the place. We didn't complain and I even tipped 10%. Normally 20 but well....Anyways. We went to leave and not one of the teenagers running the place said thank you, God bye, kiss my ass.....nothing. I say again. We didn't even complain. It used to be adults running the place. Now it's kids and this is the result. Stop trying to close your place down 2 hours early and hire some adults. Supposedly Roadhouse employees get tipped well according to social media. Absolute worst steak ever in all my many trips to Texas Roadhouse. I will go back in a month and try again. But they need to fix some...

October 2025 update:

Another bad experience with poor service. It seems the range of quality for the servers is from very good to very bad. Tonight it was very bad. The Manager needs to be more on top of how the servers are paying attention to the customers.

In our case after I got up the 1st time to go to the server counter to request drink refills from another server; you would think the server would react in a change of quality of service, but that never occurred. Later my wife had to do the same thing and go to server stand to ask a different server for drink refills. My steak came out way overdone, but the server was nowhere to be found to check if the food was good. I would have told her the medium rare I ordered was actually "medium well" cooked.

At the end the server left the table full of dirty dishes for a long period of time with no effort to clean up the table ever during the time we sat there after finishing the meal. She also never came by to ask for desert or coffee.

These are all issues about poor training and a lack of manager review. I said this before, but if I were the GM of the Bedford, TX Roadhouse I would pay for my managers to go eat a meal at Charleston in Fort Worth and they would see how much better their service could be with more effort, supervision and training.

The food was great and we liked the atmosphere. Unfortunately, our server rarely checked in. We had empty water glasses for much of the time. The service receives a 1 or 2 star. Everything else was 4 or 5 star The Manager called the next day and left his name. I returned the call and missed him. He never called back. I suggest they have their servers and managers go eat at Charleston in south Fort Worth and compare/contrast the table service so they can see what 5-star...
