Warning: long post! Let me start by saying this is our go-to place for weekly meals with fantastic food and service and a friendly, family environment! But, we reserved the private room for an enchilada & taco buffet for 25 people and had the worst experience ever. As the host of the party, it was embarrassing. Guests were complaining as soon as they got their food, it was cold. The presentation of the buffet was terrible. It was set up outside of the private room in a dark, cramped corner and nothing was labeled. You couldn’t tell which dish beef or chicken or cheese. The beef enchiladas and the cheese enchiladas tasted the same and all you could really taste was the chili con carne on top. The condiments were placed in front of the meats, so beef and chicken were being spilled/dropped into the lettuce/tomatoes/sour cream, etc. They only provided one server. He was polite and friendly, but never announced when the food was ready (maybe that’s why it was not hot?), and he brought pitchers of tea (no water) to the room but didn’t let us know they were there for us to use (nor were they labeled sweet/unsweet) and he only came back once (maybe twice) to refill glasses or see if anyone needed anything. Twice, I had to step out of the private room and ask someone to bring us more chips & salsa and water. We were there for about 2 1/2 hours. He only checked with me (the host) once near the end. The $100 deposit I put down was supposed to go towards the bill but it did not get credited (and I forgot to ask about it, but shouldn’t have to). Again, this a great place, and we will continue to go their for our favorite Mexican food and margaritas, but I do not recommend it for...
Read moreI met with some co-workers after work to have a farewell dinner for one of our friends that was leaving the country. She's from Nepal and wanted to try Mexican. Due to it being a centralized location for all of us, and the reviews, I elected to try Los Jimadores. And by George it did not disappoint! We were seated quickly and the waiter was extremely attentive. We were all sipping on drinks and snacking on tortilla chips and salsa, in no time. I liked the decor; it was very fitting for a Tex Mex and with a mariachi band to boot. All 5 of us ordered something different and every plate was divine! After having a bite of each other's food we were all hooked. It was funny because forks just started stabbing everywhere. Everyone was eating from everyone else's plate. It was good food and good times... Food, fun, and music was a perfect celebration. Our friend had an excellent tasting of Mexican food and loved it! Thanks to the entire team at Los Jimadores. Truly, the customer is number one in a world where customer service is becoming more like self service. We will be back and recommend anyone reading the reviews to give them...
Read moreGo in with my group, we're taking a minute to look over the menu bc not everyone has been before. The waiter comes to take our order, we tell him we need an extra minute, he says "well how long is it going to be because I don't want to keep coming back". Later one of us asks the waiter for his recommendation and he lets out a sigh. At the end of the meal we were all charged 3.50 for carbonated TAP WATER. We let the waiter know and he defends it saying its the same as a sprite, we are "paying for the bubbles", and that its not his job to let us know its an upcharge. I have never been to a restaurant that charges for carbonated water from the tap - not from a bottle, and not listed on the menu - in my life. Eventually the manager comes out to tell us there is nothing he can do because he has no control over the bill. There is an automatic gratuity on our bill that we can't adjust. Its a shame because I've had several good experiences here but the service on this day is enough for me to never come back. Don't come here if you want...
