SUPERCUTS — Attraction in Belleville

Where do i even begin from the awful experience i just went through with this place. Actually, it was just from this lady named Barbara. Based on previous reviews, it sounds like Barbie, Brenda, and Barbara could be the same person. Anyway, after 5mins of waiting, this lady took me and my son and finished giving both of us haircuts within 10 minutes, literally. Not even exaggerating. I might even be being generous. I went first, she combed my hair ever so roughly and proceeded to spray it. She then asked how short the cut i wanted so i told her a couple of inches from my shoulder and she said ok. With my whole hair down, she started cutting from left to right. Just a straight snip. Literally 4 minutes later, she took off the haircut cloth and showed me the 3inches she chopped off on the floor. Then she called my son to sit in my spot. I was shocked, speechless. That was it? This never ever happened to me before. I was teling myself this is what i get for going to supercuts. What the hell just happened. She asked how i wanted my son's hair cut and i pointed at the kids next to us which is still having his haircut (mind you, this kid had been sitting there getting his hair cut since before we got there). She then started cutting. She finished my son in about the same time we spent waiting (a whopping 5 whole minutes!!). My son's hair ended up being so short and nothing like the other kid. Took all but 5mins for her to finish up for this rushed hircut. I went home and asked my husband to take a picture of my hair. It was awful. Thanks to Layla who fixed it after i called in to ask to get my hair fixed. This location isnt bad. But Barbara is THE WORST. From all the complaints, i dont know how she's still working there. Just a PSA, consumers beware! Ask for your stylist's name first. And if you hear a name even sound like BARBARA, run! Run as far away as you can because your hair is about to be butchered! Stay away from this place! I went in without reservation, was not greeted at all. Went up to the desk and told her I wanted a haircut. They took me in immediately which I found weird. Basically the lady was doing a man's hair color and during his process wanted to do my hair. She sat me in the chair and preparing to cut I told her please look at this picture this is what I want. The simplest cut! She asked layers, I said suppose?? NEVER ASK FOR LAYERS AT SUPERCUTS! She did not do it like the photo, the photo was short hair and she basically just trimmed my ends. Then I told her please look at the photo again I want it short. Then she's telling the guy with the hair color 5 more minutes. So she is rushing to get money out of me and not paying attention to the QUALITY of work she is doing. So then she chops it more off and leaves me with all this hair on me! I said could you please just blow dry the strands off. I wanted wash, style and she told me it would be $35 extra I said just do it but she told me she's too busy! I go home and after reviewing my hair it's so messed up and uneven! The back still doesn't look like the photo. Going here is a big waste of time and money. I took my daughter for haircut on July 13th, I told the lady to cut in long layers, she asked me the inches and all. when I was watching her cutting my daughters hair, I could feel she doesn't even know how to cut the hair. She was holding scissors and comb in the same hand and combing her hair. I was scared what if the scissor cut my daughters hair? I was still calm, I let her take her time and finish her job. Last, when she said the cutting is done, I am like WHAT!!!! I don't see any layers in her hair. She is like it is there and if you want, I can go shorter. my daughter didn't want short hair, so I said LET IT BE. I paid and went outside. I saw the hair and I am like let's go inside again. We went back in, I said please look at her hair, it does not look like she had haircut. Two other stylists came up and said it's there and if you think it's not good, come back tomorrow!!! Why would I waste my time again?? I will wait for her hair to grow and take her to a better salon where they know how to talk, how to listen and how to complete a job. $26 + Tip for haircut and I don't see no cuts at all.
