Al Baraka Meat Market — Attraction in Bellmawr

Great place! I was born and raised in Bellmawr but moved years ago to Blackwood/Clementon and just recently discovered this shop in my childhood town. It's a small shop next to Aldi's and they own the restaurant next door too.

The store is very clean, and well stocked and the owner is very nice and humble, respectful and happy to see me and my dad as we are regular customers. We come here to usually get the pitas as we don't have time to cook rotis to eat with our pakistani dishes - they work as a good substitute! And if they don't have Soumaya Whole Wheat Pitas in stock, they let us know and order fresh ones and hold it for us to pick up as we do come miles away!

The employees are very nice and welcoming which you don't typically see in halal shops, in my personal experience. You can find a decent amount of Arab/Halal products. Wish they had more snacks or candy offerings like bounty chocolate! The meat is well packaged and sold all halal. I've tried their chicken shawarma wrap next door one time which was really nice but I wish they added more toppings in it. Haven't gotten the chance to try their platters but they look good so I'll try it out next time.

But yeah I definitely recommend coming here to everyone to purchase meat, snacks, pitas or whatever else you may be looking for that they offer. Good location as it is commutable for arabs/muslims in neighboring towns.

I have recently become a frequent customer of Al Baraka and Falafel king next door. The market has quality meat selection for great prices and I prefer it to other grocery stores. The owners are some of the kindest people I have ever met. Abu Tata is always generous in helping me pick products! Abu Said has gone out of his way to make me a special order of knafeh (kunafa) which has become my new favorite dessert in the world! I have since tried it from other shops and restaurants but no where makes it as good as Al Baraka! I recommend everyone stop in and shop around and try something different! Very small market but MAN, does this place have some baraka (get it???)

Ok, excuse my corny joke. But really the selection here is excellent. They have a butcher in the back and then a few shelves of all the essentials. We were very happy with everything we found and it saves us a trip to the bigger halal markets in cherry hill, delran, etc. Also the market is very conveniently next to a delicious take out restaurant that’s also halal.
