This was our first visit to Vero, first impression upon entering was excellent. The front counter, cooking area, and dining area were all clean, inviting, and in general the whole place looked like it is well cared for.
The customer service was 5 star plus. We placed our order for dine in. When dining in the staff brings the food to you as each item you ordered is ready.
We had a big order it was a Saturday night and the place was very busy. As busy as they were our whole order was served to us within 30 minutes of ordering. That to me was impressive for an order that consisted of; 1 order of Ravioli with a side salad, 1 bacon cheeseburger with fries, 1 order of mild wings, 1 order of BBQ wings, 1 cheesesteak American cheese wit, 2 slices of plain pizza, and a whole Sicilian Trio pie.
The ratings; Ravioli and side salad, 5 stars. This dish was more of what I would have expected at an Italian restaurant not at a neighborhood Pizzeria. The Ravioli had melted Mozzarella cheese and what tasted like homemade pasta sauce. The side salad to me really showed that ownership has pride. It wasn't just lettuce and dressing. The croutons tasted homemade, it comes with garlic bread.
Bacon cheeseburger with fries 5 stars. Again better than all other Pizzeria Bacon cheeseburgers we've had. Decent size, cooked so that it's juicy, and the fries were golden.
The wings, surprise, 5 stars. Some places have wings that are small, like pinky finger small. Not Vero, an order of 10 wings is more than an appetizer, they fill ya up. The wings were tender and the sauces both were generous and tasty.
Cheesesteak American cheese wit (fried onions) 4 stars. Flavorful and the right amount of fried onions. Would have been 5 stars for me if it had 1 or 2 more onces of meat and a Liscio's roll. I can't confirm it wasn't a Liscio's roll but my opinion it wasn't. I definitely recommend their cheesesteak and I feel bad about the 4 star but that's only my personal opinion.
2 slices of plain; 5 stars because the crust was crunchy and most importantly for me the crust was thin! Perfect amount of cheese to sauce ratio. I definitely want to go back and order a whole pie.
The reason we came here. The Sicilian Trio Pizza, 5 stars last night and 5 stars as I eat reheated slices as I type this review. Trio has 3 different sauces (Pesto, Tomato, Vodka) perfectly blended resulting in a new and delicious flavor with every bite. I rate the Sicilian Trio Pizza as a "must try". Don't just get a slice, even if you're not very hungry, get a whole pie because it's just as good the next day.
Our dine in experience at Vero was very pleasant. The employees were all very friendly and welcoming. We could tell the owners were present in all aspects of the operation in my opinion that is what makes a good business and...
Read moreMe and my wife walked in and ordered from here for the first time on Sunday 1/28/24 and we were beyond pleased with the service and the promptness of the completion of our order. They were very busy and took the time to answer some of our questions and give their recommendations with detail and attention. We ordered, for the entire family the Sicillian Trio, Chicken Cutlet Itialiano, Pizza Steak, Cheese steak w Wiz, and a Cheese steak w Cooper sharp. We had plenty left over. Everything was fantastic. The trio was sooooooo good and just like other reviews said it tastes as good as it looks. The pesto, vodka sauce and marinara blended together brilliantly and the dough was light and very tasty. My kids preferred the Ch. Steak with Wiz and it was very good but I was a huge fan of the Pizza Steak and Cooper Sharp. All three steaks were chopped and on a seeded roll which was delicious as well. Outside of the Trio my favorite item was the Chicken Cutlet Italiano, also on a seeded roll. The Cutlet itself was cooked to perfection. We lived in the area for 19 years and for the first time since living here we believe we found our place that does everything very well. Some of you know you have to jump around from place to place for quality but this is the one place that I believe got it ALL right. Thank you Vero staff and we will be back...
Read moreDecided to order from Vero’s today. Immediately upon the woman picking up there was an attitude. Made the order for a sicilian plain, 10 wings and a cheese steak hoagie for delivery. For a grand total of $59.56. Hung up and looked at the menu and did the Math. From the menu I had it should have been $44 but I figured maybe there was a delivery fee or maybe I ordered a larger size by accident, but it still didn’t add up. Called back and the same lady put me on hold for about 5 minutes. She finally picks up and said pick up or delivery. I responded yes I called earlier and just wanted to check the price of the order. She responds yeah you called 12 minutes ago. I explained maybe I was missing something about the cost, politely because I didn’t want to assume. She proceeded to cut me off and say that she read the order back to me before and the paper menu is 2 years old and that I can cancel the order. I felt bad because I didn’t know if they already started or not so I said we will keep it but then she proceeded to get an attitude again. Then I responded on second thought please cancel. We ordered from there twice before and the food was pretty good but never again. In all honesty, the price didn’t bother me as much as the way I was treated. BTW called Marino’s afterwards with the same order and it was...
