Revolve Consignment Boutiques — Attraction in Belmont

I am continually horrified at the lack of customer service at Revolve. Unless you are purchasing something, and only something expensive, are the employees pleasant. They are rude, dismissive, and condescending. They barely say hello when you walk in, already judging how much you will or won't spend. Apparently they haven't realized that they sell SECOND HAND items, not that it should matter what they're selling. When attempting to consign some shoes because I lost part of my foot in a devastating accident, the employee showed zero compassion. I explained my reasoning for having so many shoes and was devastated to be parting with them. I had spent a lot of money on these - Blahniks, Prada, Fly London, Joan and David, Lanvin, etc. All the employee cared about was what was in season and style, showing now compassion for what I was experiencing. The shoes were all leather, well maintained, classic shoes that may or may not have sold but the woman looked at what I had as if they were old rubber flip flops. Her approach could have been different, explaining that in order to maintain the business they look to sell quickly and within a month instead of looking down her nose and being annoyed with what I was looking to sell. I've consigned and shopped many times at Revolve over the years and have been very happy with results. Not everything has sold, of course, but most have and the items that sold were priced fairly for both customers and sellers. I've shopped at both Belmont and Winchester and love them both. (Browsed Newbury st and online) The buyers work quickly and efficiently and are very selective on brand and condition. They truly are curating items for their stores. As a customer, I really appreciate that. Their website lists brands they love so I tend to focus what I bring to them on those brands. The numerous reviews with such ugliness are seemingly soooo far off/makes you wonder if grounded/authentic. For probably a decade, I have been consigning with Revolve, Belmont. Owner Lisa is fabulous (great businesswoman, great with clientele and obviously very successful for a reason). I only visit just the Belmont Center store but can tell you Lauren there is outstanding and so aren’t the other ladies and Michael as well.
