I've been to this shop three times in the past 10 years for minor watch repairs. You know, replacing bands, sizing bands, replacing batteries. Basic stuff like that. EVERY SINGLE TIME I was told they couldn't help me:
"We don't work on [brand] watches."
"We don't work on smartwatches at all, even swapping bands."
Today it was "Well, we can change the battery, but my husband's busy and I don't want to bother him. You can leave it with us and come back in 4 days".
I don't know why I bother. The guy who runs the watch repair kiosk at Eastridge Mall does a great job and charges ridiculously low prices for basic repairs. Only takes about 10 minutes, too.
EDIT: Now the owner of this shop is slandering me.
He said: "If you recall looking around the store when you were there, we had 4 or 5 people waiting to look at Jewelery in our cases."
Nope, I was the only person in the store at the time. There was an older lady walking out as I walked in, though. Does she count as 5 people?
He said: "I don’t work on smartwatches."
That's his prerogative. But I was asking them to just replace a band, not open the watch in any way. But that was 18 months ago.
He said: "left watch at 4:30 Friday afternoon"
According to Google Maps I was at your shop at 12:33, not 16:30.
He said: "Your watch will be available for you to pick up on Monday morning for you to take to the kiosk guy!"
Uh, no. When your lovely wife said it would be late Monday afternoon for you to do a 6 minute repair I thanked her and said I'd try my luck elsewhere.
He said: "Giving a one star review because we couldn’t accommodate your need at that very moment is petty."
No, replying to a bad review with lies is...
Read moreA stone fell out of a very sentimental ring that I have. It’s a simple jasper ring set in silver. Its value is priceless to me. I took my ring to be repaired and agreed to a reasonable price. At pick up I noticed a crack in the ring and the woman working the counter became very confrontational. The jeweler came out to offer an explanation of it coming out during polishing (reasonable explanation) I mentioned if I had known I would have had it repaired. The lady assumed I was being confrontational instead of trying to find a solution and started yelling at me. This is unacceptable behavior and horrible customer experience for a first time customer. I will never be back...
Read moreI visited this shop today to find out how much it would cost get my wedding ring/band repaired because this was the establishment that soldered them 26 years ago. I had several other pieces of jewelry for her to look at to see if they were real. I figured why not since I made a trip over there. I also wanted to look at a chain for a broach I brought in. After looking, I asked her if she could look at another ring I was wearing. Her exact response was "I'm not a gemologist, my husband is and I am not going to interrupt him again". My exact response was "Oh ok, well I am sorry I interrupted ya'll today" and left. She was...
