If I could leave them ZERO stars, I would. I purchased a watch from John Galvan through his eBay store and when it arrived, it was not properly powering from winding and when I went to set the time, the crown stem pulled completely out of the watch. Knowing that this could be a minor issue that my watchmaker could handle, I sent a note letting him know that while the watch was beautiful, and I hoped there was not an issue with it, I needed to take it in (explaining the reason why). Instead of taking that message as intended, the guy went NUCLEAR on me, calling me a scammer and accusing me of breaking the watch and not knowing anything about watches (I collect vintage watches and have several). BUYER BEWARE. INSTEAD OF TREATING CUSTOMERS WITH RESPECT, he makes accusations. I have never left a negative review for any vendor in my life online but the rudeness and accusations from John Galvan led me to take this action. BUYER BEWARE

Further response to this awful seller who replied with lies. I’m happy to post the initial message I left for him about this situation and show him to be the liar that he is. He clearly doesn’t know anything about watches since he says I broke the watch by winding an omega Automatic watch that has a hand-winding function. For a supposed “man of gd,” he clearly has issues with telling the truth.
Here is the message i originally sent to him before he accused me of breaking the watch.
“Good morning. The watch came and it is beautiful. I wanted to give you the heads up on 2 things that I hope are not problems/issues. First, after giving it a very good wind (since of course it stopped running while in transit), the watch was only powered for about 3 hours before Stopping again. I’m wearing it today and will leave it overnight to see whether it is holding any reserve. Also, when I pulled the crown to set the time, the crown stem completely came out of the watch. I put it back in and it was still winding fine so I’m hoping it is nothing. I’ll be taking to my watchmaker over the weekend for him to check that piece out. Again, hoping it is nothing because it’s a great piece. Will let you know shortly if any issues. Thanks.”
His response was that I broke it and it was my responsibility. Like I told him, I hoped it wasn’t an issue, and in response he name calls me “scammer.” And he is supposedly some pastor? He deserves the zero stars for his business practices.
Rather than saying simply, “I hope it isn’t an issue and let me know after you talk to your watchmaker,” he immediately makes accusations. Awful...
Read more5+ STARS! Awesome service!! I had a special watch that had the back glued on so I could not remove the battery. I took it down to J&G & the watch expert took his time & his knowledge to figure out how to get the back off. He drilled a small hole, removed the back, replaced the battery & then buffed it out so you could not see the hole or get scratched by it. He could of told me NO but instead made it his mission to figure it out. The watch was a XMAS gift also, so I am very...
Read moreWe were really nervous about selling our diamond studs, you never know if your getting a good deal when you pawn. But J&G's was beyond amazing, they took the time to explain exactly what we had, what it was worth and how likely we were to sell and what we'd get. They never tried to fool us, they were incredibly transparent through the whole process, super knowledgeable and they were both so nice and welcoming. If anyone is looking to sell or buy this is where I'd go...
