Bell County Museum was one of the best stops on our road trip! Belton holds here a gem of information, fun curiosities, and the friendliest people in a beautiful very well taken care of building! Stephen was amazingly friendly and extra helpful! Stephen and Katie were very sweet and offered lots of tips on local treats to not miss! We decided to become museum NARM members, which Stephen laid out all the amazing perks for us! We are excited to use the museum membership benefits touring other spots all over the country! I’m sure others will be hard to beat comparing to the friendliness and hospitality we received here in Belton!...

Talk about a pleasant surprise! This ended up making the day a ton of fun and we learned a whole heck of a lot about the entire area and it’s history. The exhibits were well arranged and easy to get to, fun to look at and super interesting with surprising things in each area.

The old house out front, the miniature houses, the fossils and the mustache tea cup collections were all awesome parts of this museum and worth going to be along with the archaeology exhibit having a surprising amount of history.

The staff is super friendly and happy to help and talk which added even more to the fun.

We loved it and look forward...

Took the whole family one Saturday to get out of the house and it was awesome! Lots of accessibility for a double stroller and very well air conditioned. Lovely building and incredibly friendly & helpful staff. Interactions for young children and easy-to-read plaques for elementary aged kids. Near lots of cool looking restaurants and within walking distance of a little creek type of area as well. Not a bunch of parking close by but that can’t be helped. FREE ADMISSION as well :) Highly recommend especially if you’re just starting to go out as a family as it’s smaller and not as...

I'm new to the area and this was my first visit. Can't wait to see how the renovations turn out. My 6 year old and I loved the museum. Tons of interactives for her and lots of interesting stories for me. We go to a lot of museums and this impressed me. I can't wait to support this museum in the years to come and watch it continue to grow. The museum also has lots of great events coming up that they told us about. The staff were great and supper friendly. We will be comming back for years to come.

Really enjoyed our visit to the Bell County Museum. We had about an hour to kill in Belton before needing to leave and saw the museum on Maps and stopped on by. The museum is free to enter and contains a number of artifacts and exhibits that tell the history of the area. Part of the museum is inside of the old Carnegie library which has a neat history of its own. If you have the time, the Bell County Museum is definitely worth your stop!
