Early Light Creperie — Restaurant in Belton

My husband and I discovered this wonderful restaurant about 10 days ago, and we've been back 3 times already. My husband is completely in love with their Strawberry Cheesecake Crepe and my very favorite is the Apple Pie Crepe. It is to die for seriously! We each had the French Hot Chocolate. You must try it. The menu has both Sweet and Savory Crepes. Also they featured a chicken salad croissant sandwich and french onion soup. The 1st week we visited Early Light Creperie there was a huge Carrot Cake made by Alice. So beautifully decorated and quite a few slices had been taken from it! The next time we went, there were Cinnamon Rolls also hand made by Alice! They smelled heavenly. This charming French themed Creperie is run by two sweet ladies that are so warm and friendly. The decor has a beautiful Christmas tree right now. There is an Eifel Tower Water dispenser filled with ice cold water and citrus fruit. The entire restaurant is neat as a pin. As someone who is unable to eat delicious, yummy, gluten-laden food, my food choices are typically sad and depressing. BUT THIS PLACE?!? O…..M…..G!!! The gluten-free crepe tastes like REAL FOOD!! It’s happy, yummy, and delicious! If you’ve ever had any type of GF bread-like replacement, it’s dry, crumbly, and has odd textures. But Early Light GF crepes….OFF THE CHARTS DELICIOUS!! I ate one while there and then bought two more to take home. Next time I go, I’m buying just the crepe just so I can eat it plain and enjoy its flavor and texture. Crispy edges were a bonus!!! This creperie is a worthy star in a charming downtown district and a must for any visitor in Belton or the surrounding area. A friend and I arrived right as they opened to fuel up for a Saturday morning hike at nearby Chalk Ridge Falls. The cafe's pale pink interior was inviting and minimalist, our server was warm and friendly without being pushy or disruptive, and the crepes – strawberry cheesecake, banana nutella, and pesto caprese – were 10/10 on every mark.
