Ran over right after work because I knew they would get busy. This is a new place and they are trying really hard so I will give you the good and the bad of our visit tonight. We were immediately seated when we got there and all the tables around us filled up very soon after. We had a great server (Mckenna) and she took very good care of us. She took our order, brought our drinks, our food (which was quick to come out), she was polite and friendly. I was looking forward to a house craft brew but was informed they were out at this time. Hope they are able to add some more varieties soon. Now for the pizza: My wife had the Oak Fire Calzone and I had the Sweet Piggy. My pizza was OK but it didn't have any sauce on it at all (probably because my wife ordered her calzone with light sauce). The crust was alright but didn't have that Oak Fire taste or look. My wife's calzone was the same look and taste. She said the crust lacked flavor. The pizza sauce was awful, it was bland and watery. One other thing disturbed me: we had a great server but the table next to us didn't. They were seated before us yet we had our food first and were actually done eating by the time they got their food. They had to grab other servers for help with drinks (warm beer, refills, etc). I know that this is a new place and it will get better as they iron out the kinks. I will try them again in a couple of months to see how they are doing and I look forward to an improved experience. TLDR: new, great service, limited brews, pizza...
Read moreFirst, I’ll give you a heads up that if you are in a wheelchair, you’ll need some assistance getting in, but until he gets the mobile ramp, he and his staff are more than willing to help you out! I’ve had pleasure, or displeasure depending on how you approach it, of having a lot of pizza from many, Many pizza places and chains. That said, this is hands down the best that I’ve ever had! Although I didn’t see any options for a traditional pizza (one that you’d actually get in Italy) you can most certainly tell that freshness is just part of their quality! To me, and many other people, the dough can make or break great fresh toppings. They have this in spades! It’s obviously hand worked, but the dough is very light even with the crust! I waited a couple of days to post this only because I wanted to be able to comment on the leftover aspect as well. Now, I’m the type that can eat either reheated or cold pizza. The better tasting, the better it is even when it’s pulled from the fridge and eaten like that. Not only has this now become our favorite pizza place, but I’ll gladly order a large pizza because I know those leftovers are going to be delicious too! Oh, and we can’t forget that root beer float! That was the perfect way to start our experience on a hot day and can’t wait to get another! Y’all rock and keep up the...
Read moreFirst timers here and we heard good things about the place. We sat on the patio, and waited a while until our server came to us, no worries there, but we’re only checked on twice after that, we had to ask another server for plates and napkins, not once getting offered silverware. The second time we got checked on was only after I made eye contact with my waitress several times and she ignored me, after the 4th time she came and checked on us. The service was definitely sub par! I witnessed other guests ordering drinks and then the waitress going and sitting down, getting on her phone and bringing drinks almost 5 minutes later. One table waited 10 minutes after being sat while the girls were chatting with male staff who had come up stairs. When leaving I spoke with an older employee who was serving alcohol upstairs to let her know the table and not been attended to since sitting. The young waitresses didn’t know what draft beer is, and I feel like that is just poor training. The fastest we got checked on, is after we got the bill, our waitress was very quick to come back grab the card and check us out.
I tried the the Snowflake craft beer, definitely watery tasting, I didn’t finish it. It was very cloudy, and lots of separation.
Other than the service the Pizza was Great, hot, fresh,...
