Good evening Google Family. I visited AMC Neshaminy 24 for the first time today. I have visited the mall many times in previous years. But today no mall, just a movie. I have tickets for Sinners IMAX Reissue, starring Michael B. Jordan. I was looking forward to seeing the movies, specifically so that I can recline in the high back rocker seats. I did not notice until I was getting ready to vacate the theater that they had restrooms for both genders in the front of the theater right next to concessions. I had visited the one in the back and they had two more rest rooms in the back of the theater for both genders. When I arrived it was early and I found that the movie theater does not open until 11 am. I waited in the car but when I saw people going in, then I went in. I saw that they were sitting down waiting or standing waiting for them to open the box office. I had already purchased my tickets online so all they had to do was scan the bar code on my phone. I love ordering the tickets online. So convenient!!! I never buy my tickets in the theater anymore. I have been ordering online for YEARS!!!! and I absolutely love it!!!! After the young employee scanned the bar code, then I visited the rest room. It was nice and clean and there was no one else in there. Hallelujah!!!! Then I went and asked how could I purchase an AMC gift card? I asked one young lady who worked at the drinks/alcohol counter and she told me to go to the customer service. I waited for the young man and I asked for the amount to be $50.00. I was given my gift card and away I went to Concessions where I used my gift card. I purchased regular popcorn @$9.79, ICEE 32 oz cup for $7.99 and a stone fired pepperoni pan pizza for $10.79. Everything is so HIGH!!! Nothing cheap, forget about that, lol. My subtotal was $28.57 with tax $1.72 and my total was $30.29. I then decided on a cherry drink and I was able to access it myself with the self service machines. Then I went back to pick up my pizza. I waited a few minutes and then it was ready. Then I went to the Auditorium #1 to watch my movie. I could not believe it, it was #1. I have never been fortunate enough to get a #1 Auditorium, I usually have to walk a million miles to get to my Auditorium, but not here and not today. Halleujah!!!! This was my very first time, utilizing the IMAX experience!!! It was incredible!! The soundtrack and special effects WERE OFF THE HOOK!!!!! As I was getting settled in my seat, H1, with all of my bags, I was so happy that the seats reclined and that the seat actually worked. I have been to movie theaters that the seats were broken and no the seat did not recline. That is one of the major reasons I like to go to the movies, so that I can recline my seat. If I have to sit upright the entire movie, then I need to stay home!!!! The movie was ok. But everything else was AWESOME!!!! I love the movie IMAX experience and I will definitely return. A great experience for me today and the movie theater itself is BEAUTIFUL!!! All of the Regal, other AMC, Movie Tavern and Cinemark should use this theater as their role model. They would learn something. No movie theater should be without high back rocker recliner seats. Have a good night Family, workout, be healthy, fit and Fabulous especially for people over fifty...
Read moreI get the impression that the people employed at this location hate their jobs but aren't smart enough to understand that they can just quit, there's no need to get themselves fired for causing a lawsuit or get the location shut down by the health department, though for some reason that's what they seem to be aiming for.
I got a sweet tea which tasted like alcohol, for those who don't know that means there's mold inside the machine. Before I even took a sip of the drink, I went into the theater where all the seats (not just the ones we were supposed to sit in) were disgusting and stained with what looked to me like bodily fluids. Between that and the moldy beverage, I immediately went to ask for a refund which I was refused. They tried to tell me it was too late, explained the rules regarding refunds, and when I pointed out that based on what they said I still had plenty of time to request a refund, they backtracked on what the policy was and said something completely different, which was clearly made up on the spot. I later confirmed this via the AMC website. They also denied the possibility of my drink containing mold and claimed the machines are cleaned nightly, as if beverages suddenly develop an alcoholic taste for no reason. I drink that exact brand of sweet tea regularly and it tastes nothing like the foul liquid that came out of their machine. I informed them that I already didn't feel well after only a few sips, and told them that if their negligence landed me in the hospital I would be suing, to which the manager (at least, I think that's what she was. The blonde at the customer service desk, for the sake of clarity) actually laughed in my face. They have no idea how lucky they are that it resolved quickly without medical intervention. And their lack of willingness to give me a refund did not stop me from getting my money back, so I truly don't understand why they bothered behaving that way. They could've just behaved professionally and given me the refund I was more than entitled to, or maybe just done their jobs in the first place (such as cleaning the drink machines and the seats) and saved themselves a...
Read moreI ordered tickets in advance for a reserved-seat showing of a movie that was suppose to start at 9PM. I got to the theater only to find it closed and signs saying they closed at 8:30PM due to weather conditions (there were no weather conditions it was just raining, not ice rain or dangerous weather conditions, no winter weather advisories). The following morning I called the corporate headquarters who told me that the theater never reporting closing and that they could not give me a refund because it was past the showtime and I would have to go to the theater directly. I went to the theater directly, only to be told by a poor excuse for a manager that he wasn't the manager on who decided to close so he doesn't know what happened. The manager told me he needed to print the tickets before he could give me a refund and instead he printed the tickets, then tried to give me two merchandise credit tickets. NO THANK YOU. All I wanted was my $40 back (the over priced charge for two IMAX + 3D seats) because they chose to close without calling, texting or emailing me so I could process a refund myself. After I refused to take the tickets, the manager switched up his story and told me if I wanted a refund I would have to write my credit card number down on some form and they send it somewhere and it takes up to two weeks to get it back. WHAT?! I've never heard of anything like this. Then when I asked to speak to another manager or the manager who was on last night, I got told that his manager will be gone for two weeks (hm, sounds familiar) in San Francisco. I didn't take the merchandise tickets, instead I called corporate again who told me that now that the tickets had been printed, I definitely couldn't have a refund and the only way to get my money back was to dispute the charge with my credit card company so I did. I'll be certain never to watch a movie at another AMC theater again, especially not this one. This theater is only 5 minutes from my home and I would rather drive to another theater that knows how to provide customer service and isn't trying to...
