I wish I could rate HIGHER, than a 5 because I am STILL impressed! My wife and I, Kisha and Euhenia Baalla, was stranded at Wawa's in the POURING rain after a 4 hour drive. The hotel we booked canceled us because we hit a great amount of traffic in route. It was about 4am, and we couldn't get a room anywhere that was near our visiting location. Every hotel I called had a lengthy amount of questions only to eventually say they didn't have any rooms available, but was suggesting other locations that were way too far for us to travel to. I have no idea what the Angel's name is that answered when I called Penn Lodge, but he said "Sure, I can accommodate you. Are you here yet?" I said "no, I'm 7 minutes away." He said "no problem, I am here waiting for you." It took a little longer because it was pouring down raining, but as he promised, he was there; waiting on our arrival. He greeted us with the most welcoming personality which I needed very much. I INSTANTLY felt welcomed. He did the paperwork without a draining process. He specifically directed us on how to get to our room with the most easy to follow guide. Once in the room, it was SPOTLESS, comfortable, very appealing to the eye, air conditioned well, and cozy. Everything was a new renovation; EVERYTHING! I slept like a baby after the best hot shower that didn't run cold quickly. It was so quiet and peaceful the entire time. Did I mention that he also accommodated us with a late check out time, (3pm), because we checked in during the wee hours of the morning? I'm telling you, this will forever be my stay location when I visit Bensalem, PA. (Which is often) This experience was EXCEPTIONAL, and I am forever grateful for Mr. "ANGEL"! (I don't know his name, but an...
Read moreStay away from this place.....FAR, FAR AWAY! This was truly a last resort option. After spending a few hours at a local casino we decided to book a room near by rather then making the drive home. I called six hotels in the area, they were all booked. Anyway, that is why we ended up at this horrible place. Our room consisted of a king bed, a refrigerator, microwave and tv. Not even one chair. One of the ceiling tiles was falling down, not a hanger to be found. There were two holes in the walls (looked like someone kicked it in). Upon opening the drawer of the night stand I found trash that was left behind by a previous customer. The dresser drawer had a condom that was also left behind. Both the entry door, and the bathroom door appeared to have been kicked in at some point. All of the above PLUS, the room was filthy! The toilet was clean, however, the shower was moldy. Had it not been after midnight, and had I thought I had another option, I would have gone back to the office and demanded my money back! I also found it interesting that on my GPS it is called the Mall motel. I did address my issues with the office staff when I checked out. He had very little to say, but did appear to be embarrassed. Oh well, my husband and I are already laughing about it. Live and learn. BTW, I paid $111. . From the other reviews I looked at it seems the avg...
Read moreUnfortunately, if the facility were customer service oriented I would have rated higher. I arrived late as a last minute reservation due to a 4 hour flight delay; during a blackout. I felt the right thing to do would have been charge me half price or comp the room upon my arrival but again, you'd have to be very customer-centric to do that... No lights, no air, total darkness with a tweeker pacing back and forth in front of my room all night. By the light of day, I've left pictures to tell the story. Some positives, the location is quiet (minus the tweeker), there are tons of outlets for charging when there's power and it is conveniently located near food and shopping. The negative is I arrived in the aftermath of a storm, sight unseen...There was no signage with instructions about what was going on, and if not for a very very very friendly person, I believe in housekeeping, lending me her flashlight, and helping me to my room, I wouldn't have known what to do or where to go. I had business in the area which kept me out of the room until power was restored. I won't stay again if I'm ever in the area considering management seemingly took the stance, "there was a storm, what could we do"...#1 be present #2 consider the customer and how to ease the unimaginable #3 stockpile inexpensive battery operated lights in case of a weather emergency...water, wet wipes...,...
