I tried Mexican cuisine for the first time in my life. OMG! How delicious it is! Mexican cuisine is vibrant, festive and delicious. It is the result of a fusion of the national traditions of indigenous peoples and Europeans. Mexican cuisine is rich in meat, corn, legumes, avocados, peppers and spices. Mexican cuisine is included in the UNESCO Intangible Heritage List! After a thorough tasting, our strict jury invites you to try too: 1. Fajita - meat fried on the grill and cut into strips with grilled vegetables. We tried it with beef, chicken, and shrimp 2. Quesadilla with chicken and cheese 3. Guacamole - avocado and tomato sauce with lime added 4. Nachos - tortilla chips with salsa. 5. Beans with rice and cheddar cheese 6. Fajita Salad with Ranch True Mexican cuisine is called one of the most healthy and dietary. This is explained by the fact that it consists of a variety of dishes from meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, grains and spices, which perfectly saturate the body and give not only a long-lasting feeling of satiety, but also maximum energy. But, the most important thing is the presence of a huge amount of spices in Mexican dishes. Entire treatises have been written about their beneficial properties. They saturate the body with a number of vitamins and microelements, have a beneficial effect on the functioning of all organs and systems, improve digestion, increase immunity, protect against viruses and bacteria, help lose weight and simply give a great mood.

On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina is a popular chain restaurant offering a blend of Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine in a casual, family-friendly setting. It provides a reliable option for those seeking familiar flavors in a comfortable environment. The food quality is generally consistent, if not exceptional. Ingredients seem fresh, but some dishes lack the depth of flavor found in more authentic Mexican restaurants. Flavors are approachable and cater to a wide range of palates. The salsa is mild but tasty, and the fajitas are a reliable choice. The menu is extensive, offering a wide range of options from tacos and burritos to salads and grilled items. There's something for everyone, including vegetarian and gluten-sensitive options. Portions are generous, ensuring good value for money. The combo plates, in particular, offer a substantial amount of food. The Border Sampler (an appetizer platter) and the sizzling fajitas are popular choices. The tableside guacamole preparation adds a nice interactive touch to the dining experience. The decor is colorful and themed, creating a lively atmosphere. Generally, staff are friendly, but during busy times, attentiveness can suffer. Given the portion sizes and regular promotions, On The Border offers good value, especially for families or groups. On The Border provides a decent dining experience for those seeking familiar Mexican-inspired dishes in a casual setting.

I'm most impressed with the service. My waitress was excellent. I went on a Monday and I ordered the Monday special. All you can eat enchiladas. They start you off with 2 that you can pick from any of the four combinations. Chicken, beef, cheese and onion, mushroom with cheese. The plate also has rice and beans. My waitress kept on top of my refills and nachos. The salsa is excellent. Especially the spicy salsa. I had a great experience. I ate 5 enchiladas. I could have ate another but I was full and didn't want to over do it. The food tasted good. I would definitely come again. I like their fajitas too. Good drink specials. It's a good local Tex/Mex restaurant.

Ok so I’m gonna break this down into 2 categories and break it down.

The Food wasn’t that good at all, you can tell the rice was like a frozen microwaveable rice by the taste and texture. The taste of the rice was ok at most. The steak wasn’t terrible a little tough but it wasn’t the worst I’ve ever had, the pork carnitas were salty and the flavor just wasn’t there. The Guacamole lacked in salt, lime juice, and didn’t have cilantro either so the flavor was really lacking. I took one bite of the guacamole and went right back to the salsa. The salsa was good. But definitely some sort of store bought salsa. I don’t understand how foods that take really little effort to prepare are below a certain standard. What I will say positive is that the frozen margarita was pretty good, and the honey chipotle fried shrimp wasn’t terrible either. They had ONE burger on the menu, which is funny to me it just seemed almost pointless, and the menu was really a lot to take in when all they serve is rice, beans, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, flautas, quesadillas, fajitas, and bowls. They definitely need a new and improved, better divided menu. One more thing I will say is the dessert LOOKED really good but I didn’t get any out of disappointment from my meal. Rating 3/10

The Service was alright our server seemed nice but once we got our food she never checked up on us until the end. Took us FOREVER to get a to go box and check because of that fact. One thing that really drove me crazy about this restaurant is that the table literally had ZERO condiment or napkins. No salt, pepper, ketchup, hot sauce, napkins, ANYTHING, and it wasn’t just my table, it was all the tables. If the food is gonna be below average at least supply your customer with something to spice up the food and make it better. Rating 2/10

Overall I could’ve went to a food truck and been more satisfied. Definitely not planning on...

Absolute worst experience I have ever had here. I typically dine here 1-2x/month, and have never had major issues. I asked for a corner booth, and was told it would be about an hour wait - we waited for about 90 minutes before we were seated, I was ok with having to wait because this was our request, even though we ended up getting another table.

When we got to the table, the waitress took our order for drinks (soda and water). Took about 10 mins to get the drinks. Coke was completely flat and watered down, and you could visually see the change in color. She brought the chips and salsa, which were all just crumbs and undercooked. She said she would bring out another batch and never did.

We finally ordered our food - 5 entrees. They brought out our food about 15 mins later: Meal 1 - undercooked food Meal 2 - undercooked food Meal 3 - undercooked food Meal 4 - wrong items Meal 5 was the only correct one. We asked for silverware, they never brought it. We made the waitress aware of the undercooked food and service issues, she took the food back, and had a 2nd person bring it back 5 minutes later, completely burned to a crisp.

I asked the 2nd person if I could speak with the manager, she proceeded to say “I am the manager” and then apologized for the poor service and food and excused it as being understaffed. She said service would be better next time we come in to eat. What manager is ok with serving food like this?

There are so many other Mexican cuisines in the area, save your time and money and go to the others instead. This was absolutely disgusting, and pathetic on the end of...
