I and my husband came to the office to this dmv location exchange my NY drivers to PA license after all my documents were checked at the reception and passing the eye test, the women agent who was reviewing my documents denied my application because according to her I would need additional travel doc. Despite the fact I explained that I do not need additional documents because all my documents were in place she started shouting at me and my family to the entire facility then her male agent also joined her and started yelling to me saying he knows better then I’m supposed to, when my husband approached to help me to clarify the situation they asked me to “shut up, behave ourselves” and saying we are no bodies…. When my husband replied that it was discriminatory to deny the exchange the deal, they threatened to call the police! We were not threatening but the guard came and started threatening us and there voices was so load that the other customers there were in shock! There supervisor came to my husband when he tried to explain to her (supervisor) our case she said “she was busy with other customers” and we had to wait. After all those arguments those two agents realized there mistakes but, never admitted there ignorance and unprofessionalism. They had to exchange my documents without asking any further questions they never apologized for there behavior and my husband had to wait another 20 mins to finally speak to the manger in private and explain the situation according to my husband “the manger never apologized for there way they treated us as customers”. It turned out that second officer who yelled at me and my husband “Who are we” was assistant supervisor who didn’t know or have clue on the regulations that stipulate the exchange of out-of-state driver’s license we got our documents but, with so much fight and frustration, waste of time and escalations and shockingly they were acting like they own this place like there own palace. They behave like judges and prima-donnas they Ought to be reminded that they receive federal wages and pensions to server the customers. We as the customers know DMV regulation better than they do their own job. This dmv place is HORRIBLE! With unprofessional, rude, disrespectful xenophobic people who’s terrible customer service is condoned by there mangers. THEY RUINED OUR DAY! I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO THIS...
Read moreCan I review a person? First time I didn't have too many issues - the person was nice enough but a little catty. The girl where I had my picture taken was super nice.
My most recent experience was appalling. I was already horrified from the way the gentleman in front of me was treated by the staff at the front desk. He was older, long hair in a ponytail, and a mustache that curled up. There is no reason to be as rude as he was, even at the end of the day. I worked in banking. People are a pain and I get long days, but guess what, when you're in customer service you're in customer service. Don't be a jerk (or worse). Being nice will get you so far, and that counts for BOTH ends.
Anyway, the staff person is yelling at this man who doesn't speak (great) English. He is saying he needs something else and the girl on the phone says they have everything. Okay, they might need something extra, but again, the way he's talking to the man and the girl on the phone is unacceptable. He starts waving his hands around saying "he won't spend anymore time helping him" and he "has to leave". I'm next. I'm frantic over losing my wallet. My entire wallet. So I'm already not thinking straight. I start with I lost my wallet and not sure next steps. I only have cash. How do I pay (I could go get temp checks or a money order). He doesn't answer. Says "you lost your license. Fill this out". Okay. How can I pay I lost my wallet. "We don't take cash" he has to say twice because I don't hear him the first time. Okay, sir, that's part of what I started this conversation with. He says he can't help me I have to come back another time. I made a comment about hoping he won't be there tomorrow under my breath.. because honestly I'd walk out. He said "we'll" be there, but not him necessarily. I didn't even care. I was upset for myself and the person ahead of me so much at this point. I'm not sure who hurt this man when he was a child, but you do NOT go around treating other people like that. You just don't.
Moral? Avoid him if you have to go to this location. The AAA in Oxford Valley is great for renewals or dupes - super friendly. I went there to get a new one sent to me and a temp in the meantime. It might cost a bit extra with the fee, but...
