1st, I did make the mistake of walking into this place by accident. If you're on the freeway you can see their sign clearly but when you park in that area the sign is right above your head on the building so you really have to make a point to back away and see which store you are actually entering. This was my first time here. The guy(short, black hair and beard at the front desk) wasn't the most inviting. I showed him a picture of my order and he seemed annoyed that I could make such a mistake as accidentally walk into the wrong store in a sea of factory style buildings. And the way he added "so outside on top of the store it says Bay Home etc..." Definitely meant in a condescending way. It was genuine mistake that I laughed about buddy. Given the initial impression, I still decided to browse for a second because I like Art and Design. The way this same guy then looked at me like I didn't belong there. Like I'd tainted the place by walking in. I later read some of their one-star reviews you can tell this is a slimy place. Probably great for rich people who are dead inside. It's a shame too, I work with the occasional cool rich person and could've sold some stuff...
Read moreI could not love this place more. Every time I go, I find treasure. Sometimes I repeat visit before finding just the thing I need - which is great - because I find it fun to go through this whole place, again and again. I recently got a new couch from them - by Gus Modern - which is the new line they carry. I visited the couch at least a half dozen times! It's been the best possible addition to my home - which is outfitted with mostly vintage furniture because why would I buy new things when there's so much around me? But folks, I just couldn't find THE couch in the consignment stores or marketplaces, after trying for years. So I bought one that will last forever from a sustainable company with morals and - it's truly amazingly designed. Honestly, all of what you'll find at this store is well designed. You can't go wrong figuring out your whole space, piece by...
Read moreAs a seller, be very very careful. I have brought many vintage designer pieces here for a number of years. the first time, the items were sold and I never received a check nor a call. When I reached out Joe said the paperwork was lost. I let it. go, and sold a number of items over the next number of years. Then, again, items were sold, ( I had to call and ask), and I was told they had been sold with cash so it was very "difficult' for accounting to reconcile and cut me a check. I followed up for at least 6 months before payment. A few more years of items sold. Lastly, I now have a number of items there (some sold), and I get no response from Joe on these. Some items sold, but payment does not equal the total. Other items appear to be lost (zero response from...
