Berkeley Skatepark — Attraction in Berkeley

A park and rec employee that worked here in August 2020, was so cool that he noticed how much my son wanted to skate but didn't have a board. A few days after he met us he showed up with a skateboard for my son. Turned out to be the guys own personal first skateboard. He had such a solid heart, that he put that much thought into a complete stranger. This is one of my most treasured memories. Great skate park according to my 21-year-old roller skating daughter, who went there for the first time this week. See my uploaded pictures of the two signs out front for their current COVID rules (reduced hours, best to sign up online, etc.). Not sure why a city so well know for being accepting and open to all sorts is still oppressive and closedminded to bmx riders at a city owned park.. im just disappointed at the unnecessary division the city is upholding.
