I went to Berkeley Office Interiors recently and David helped me find the perfect chair for me! —————— A few years ago, I went to a different office liquidator on the peninsula and bought a used Aeron chair. I unfortunately learned that the Aeron wasn’t a good match for me, but I was now stuck with it, as the seller refused to take returns. If someone had taken the time to teach me about ergonomics, I wouldn’t have made this mistake.
Fast forward 3 years and the wrong chair has finally worn me out. I’m looking for new options - I saw the great reviews for Berkeley Office Interiors and let me just say, everyone singing David’s praise is spot on!
I showed up unscheduled during a heatwave, and David still took a break from his project work to greet me and my partner, and gave us a brief history of ergonomic chairs, and good seating habits. David showed me several of the chairs in stock, talked through his personal preferences and experiences with each of them, and made some suggestions about posture and fit based on body type. He was more than happy to let me test the chairs at length- if you’re sitting for hours at work, you really need to try them a while. After taking a few days to weigh the options, I went back to pick up a Steelcase Leap V2. David remembered me from the week before, and got together a few options to pick from. Throughout the process, he was transparent about the trade offs of certain products, and about the differing wear and tear on the used chairs. He said “I sell to everyone like I’m selling to my own mother,” and it’s clear to me that he was not joking. For individuals, there is also a 1 week no questions return period, but because of how helpful he is, there’s no need to test it :)

I realized how important it is to have a proper 'home office' set-up. While researching local businesses for ergonomic chairs and adjustable tables, I came upon Berkeley's Office Interiors. I made some calls to determine whether appointments were required. I was also interested in this location because they sell new and pre-owned office furniture.
When I called Berkeley's Office Interiors, I was pleasantly surprised by the voice on the other end of the phone- it was cheerful, professional, and friendly. His name was David, the owner. His enthusiasm and friendliness are what hooked me. I decided this place would be my first stop (ended up being my first and only :)). I hadn't realized he was the owner until I showed up later that day. He and his staff were welcoming, professional, and genuinely interested in providing me with the knowledge needed to pick the perfect chair and desk.
Luckily, David was there and walked me through some of the chairs on his floor. After some thought, I decided to go with a pre-owned chair, new adjustable table legs, and a tabletop previously purchased by someone else but then returned. See photos. The staff at Berkeley's Office Interiors got right to work. My adjustable office table was ready later that same day. I was impressed by their efficiency. I brought my desk home that evening and picked up the chair the following day due to a lack of space in my car. They also deliver, so do not worry if you need your new office furniture delivered.
Anyways, I can go on about how satisfied I am with my entire experience and purchases from Berkeley's Office Interiors. Thank you so much, David and staff. I highly recommend this place. I'll be back for all my future office furniture needs.

   Read moreI surprisingly had such a wonderful and positive experience here. I was looking for a chair to help maintain a good posture, and not slouch while typing. David was very thorough in giving me information on how to sit properly in a chair, and was honest about each brand of chair. This is something I greatly appreciated, as he was not pushing me to buy the most expensive, top of the line brand, rather, helping me find a chair that really suited me and that i liked and felt comfortable in. David knew everything about proper posture, ergonomics, and functions of the chair (lumbar support, arm rest, etc) I really felt like he cared. I left the store with a chair i was very happy with and felt like I got a good deal as well. I never felt pressured to buy anything, which is always a big plus for me.
