The young ladies that we're working at Gilmans on August 11th 2018 were very rude and disrespectful. This was my first time being there and if they hadn't been so rude it would have been five stars... Also the gender neutral bathroom is a joke, because males are allowed to go in there there's pee all over the place... I mean everywhere all over the seat on the floor right in front of the toilet there's a huge puddle you can't even stand in front of the toilet without getting pee all over your feet women can't use it because it's just too DISGUSTING!!! Something's definitely needs to be done about that I mean come on!!! If you really need a gender neutral bathroom then why don't you make the males restroom a gender-neutral bathroom because males have no respect for the women's bathroom why let them in and makes women have to suffer and hold their bladders because seriously it's...

I've been to many shows / gigs at Gilman from 1998 to 2014, of which there are many. Gilman is not just a quintessential place of punk history, it's also one of the best venues for punk, crust punk, and all kinds of underground hardcore / hardcore punk bands. My favorite show at Gilman was seeing Dystopia headline in 2002. I had seen them 3 times before this show, but the performance they gave was their best IMO. The band had shirts for sale at the show, but I didn't buy one because I already had bought a Dystopia shirt from them in 1996, when they toured the US with Skaven. I have been going to Gilman for a little over a decade, countless memories have been made (and some forgotten) here. It truly is one of my favorite venues in The Bay Area. So many amazing bands have preformed within these walls over the years and I am grateful NorCal has a venue that gives The Bay Area so many opportunities to see some killer punk and metal shows. That being said, I can't wait for the doors of 924 Gilman to reopen so I can once again start supporting local music and the venue that makes it all possible (once it's safe enough to do so that is).
