I have been a patron of Torres Supermarket since it came into business and I never ever had an issue with food quality... Until I decided to try their Menudo. It’s one thing if I myself thought it was disgusting but myself and 5 additional family members?! I’m sorry but this was beyond edible, for starters it was cold upon serving. I’m assuming Fresh Menudo should be nice and hot.It did not taste like authentic menudo, it was like eating raw. meat in tomato sauce. Absolutely disgusting, please save yourself the anguish and possible trip to the hospital after eating this not to mention the money because you won’t get it back. I ordered a gallon and a half thinking that it would be of excellent taste, and boy was I wrong. So an hour later I returned back to the store with the unopened gallon and the half of gallon that we did open to eat. It was ridiculous the fact that I had to argue with the supervisor for 45 minutes about getting my money back. To make a long story short I never got my back, I got store credit and only for a gallon and not the rest. Supervisor said that I could dispute this with the store manager Lorena on the following day. I tried calling her and she could never come to the phone, I left messages and they were never returned.My advise if you want to be a valued customer do not come here as far as the Menudo eat at your own...
Read moreI'd like to know if the supermarket doesn't train its employees to use the cash registers to improve service. For example, I had an experience at the restaurant where I was concerned about the service provided by this person. It was today between 1:00 and 1:30 pm. I ordered my food with a drink, but I wanted to change my drink order. I did so because I didn't see the drink being served, so I decided to change it. But the person said they had already registered it and couldn't, or did they want to give me the impression that they couldn't change it. I'm wondering, couldn't I just cancel the drink? I'd put it in my order at the register and add a new drink, or is it that difficult? Would it be just charging me the difference? I don't like to put someone down, but they should be more friendly and more tolerant of customers. Doesn't Torres Supermarket have a manager? I should look at these reviews to rate customer service. The manager should get to work and see how his cooks work. Unfortunately, the restaurant looks empty now; there are no customers like there were when the restaurant first opened.

The michoacana doesn't have good ice cream, but good elotes though. The store has almost all the item's names in spanish which is bad for business plus they would have only have 1 to 2 cashiers open sometimes, especially on the last hour they're open when there is a long line. Once my little brother bought something from the store and left but had to come back for another purchase, the store's front desk didn't let him enter even though he had a receipt, what a shame.
