This place deserves a zero star from me. I only touched on 1 because it won't open if I don't. I called to order food from this place, a lady picked up the phone and started giving me the menu options in Spanish. As I was trying for her to speak in English so I can understand her, her response was "I am busy right now" and then she hanged up on me. I then drove to the restaurant thinking that the place was full and busy. But was amazed that the place was empty with only two couples at two tables and a guy at one table. I stood there for at least 10 minutes and the lady ignored me after saying something in Spanish that I didn't even understand. I finally got the attention of the guy cleaning the tables and asked him if I could talk to someone who speaks English. The guy looked surprised when I explained to him what had happened over the phone and told me that the lady spoke English as well. He then approached the lady and attempted to ask her what happened, she started yelling at the top of her voice saying "YES I TOLD YOU OVER THE PHONE THAT I WAS BUSY BECAUSE I WAS ALONE WITH CUSTOMERS" My response was that you would have at least asked me to wait or be more polite than just hanging up on me. She then yelled again and her exact words were "DO YOU WANT TO ORDER THE FOOD NOW OR WHAT DO YOU WANT LADY?" All the customers were surprised the way she was talking to me and started staring at us. I then asked to speak with the manager or owner of the restaurant and her response was "I AM THE OWNER AND WHAT WILL YOU DO NOW?" This lady saw that I was not Hispanic and clearly do not speak or understand Spanish but she decided to repeatedly talk to me in Spanish which makes me want to believe what people have told me before, that if a Hispanic tells you that they don't speak English it's just because they are racist especially if you are black or because they do not just want to deal with you. I never believed it until I had this encounter.I have never felt this disrespected before, I was in total shock and disbelief. Beside this encounter, my daughter ordered tacos from this place before and got the worst burnt taco pork and chicken meat when she got home with her food and till date, she vowed never to be back there for anything. I too ordered tacos from here before and when I picked it up my order and got home, I noticed that it was incomplete and when I called them back there was no sense of apology at all. They sounded like it was my fault. I see from one of the reviews here that this place won Berwyn's best. I honestly wonder what it takes to become the best restaurant in an a community as I have been to all types of restaurants in Berwyn and this place both in their food and customer service measures nothing close to being best. If there is a restaurant in the neighborhood that is willing to treat just Hispanics the right way, then I believe that the good people of Berwyn and anyone visiting here truly deserve better. No one should ever be that disrespected especially by a restaurant that claims that they are there for the community. My suggestion is that they should include HISPANICS ONLY to their "Tacos Y...
Read moreHere’s that classic place when richness on flavor crossed with a modest decoration. The slogan is: Authentic Mexican Cuisine. And they meant that. Several everyday plates are served jointly with some Mexican snacks (to put a name on it). You may ask for Caldo Siete Mares, and you get a well prepared seafood with an extraordinary flavor. They have an option in menu: Platillo Indio, see picture, and you can taste exactly what you see. As well as the modest melted cheese. Deserve a five star rating.? Maybe Yes. Just need to improve certain things. But also need the favor of consumer’s preference. Give them a chance. You might be kind and promptly attended by Ana, Alondra and Paz, among other people., you won’t be disappointed. They have dine-in or pick-up. Please give a Like if useful.!
(Edit 9/7/24, Confirmed..! The taste and flavor you can get here it is the closest to the ones you’ve got in your homeland: Mexico. I’ve just tasted the Shrimp cocktail, It was delicious. Same thing just happened with the traditional plate: “ Pozole”, prepared with mid-sized corn and ingredients that will transport you to La Plazita, el Mercado, or even places like the Inmaculada chapel, there in Morelia. Another of good dishes is the Menudo. Just give it try.! Once again, you should stop by and give yourself a chance to take a trip to this Authentic Mexican cuisine. You will enjoy it
No olvides dar Like, si esta información te resultó útil. Gracias..!
Edit 9/7/24: Confirmado..!
Read moreLet me first say that I thought I was calling zacatacos in Berwyn. I placed an order and paid with my card over the phone. I called back 5 minutes later and asked them to add sour cream to my taco and they said the tacos were already done so I asked them to add it on the side and they did. Then I arrived at zacatacos and realize that I called this place instead of zacatacos. I then tried to cancel my order but they said they could not cancel it because it was already made. At this point I was forced to try it out. I kept an open mind and was not expecting it to be as good as zacatacos. I wish I would have just disputed the charges with my bank! The food was horrible! My tacos were small and had absolutely no seasoning on the meat. They were extremely greasy and my husband's burrito was extra greasy and about to fall apart. I do not recommend this...
