Caroline Freeland Urban Park — Attraction in Bethesda

My visit to Caroline Freeland Urban Park was a real hit for our little ones—my 4-year-old absolutely loved the slides, while the 18-month-old couldn’t get enough of the swings. The playground is thoughtfully designed, fully enclosed for safety, and includes separate play structures that cater to both toddlers and older preschoolers   .

The park itself was recently renovated, offering smooth, accessible pathways, new bench swings, and ample seating areas—great for parents who want to relax while keeping an eye on their kiddos  . Being nestled downtown, it’s also super convenient, close to the library and dining spots—perfect for combining errands or outings in one trip  .

What held this experience back from a perfect ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐? The lack of nearby parking made it a bit stressful to get there—downtown Bethesda lots are sometimes limited or require a bit of a walk  . But once you’re there, the park more than...

One of our favorite parks for my 2 year old! Sometimes there are bigger kids who run through the playground and need to be told to slow down as they almost knock over the little ones, but that’s just normal kid stuff. I like that there are always kids here, great place to go to get your minions some...

I like this park! Because it has a fence around it, I can rest assure that my son won't run off while playing. The only down side is there is No parking, so I assume this means this park was only meant for people who can walk to...
